Terry faxed me the instructions for the Mopar system that the dealer couldn't provide, and I was able to defeat the diesel delay on my system, and I am a much happier camper. I still think some of the 3rd party systems are more flexible, but I am no longer itching to throw mine away and replace it. Thanks Terry!

Now if I could just get past that pesky engine code problem...

I ordered an 07. 5 4x4 3500 in January, the truck is great. I recived it about 3 weeks ago. I ordered it with the H package and it was suspose to also come with the remote start. When I recived the truck it was not it. My dealer contacted Chrysler as did I to find out what had happened, they told us that it was not being installed on the 6. 7L models at this time. It was one of the options I really wanted, I was not very pleased to say the least.

I have an EZ Start on my 03. 5 installed by Steve from E & G Autos Plus in Coudersport, PA. It works fine down to about 25 deg. Then it runs only a few seconds after 3 tries. Apparentaly the grid heater is not kicking in and the manufacturer has no solution.

Tooker

My dealer also called DCX and they said that the RS was not available BUT since they advertised it they are going to send it to the dealer and he is going to install it. That being said it was supposed to be available by the end of May and they have not received it. A RS is an RS whether it is for gas or diesel, the only difference is the diesel has a cold air heater but that can be sensed by the wait light or can just be set to a x time delay.

I have it on my 06 and so far I think it is a big waste of money. In fact I think I want them to remove it and give me my money back.

1. It will only run about 10 minutes before it automatically shuts off WHEN it is working properly which is not right now. This does me no good in the winter. In the summer it does me no good because my office is too far from where I park it. Plus the dealer could not disable the horn chirp that occurs when you use it. The neighbors love that at 6am.

2. I'm pretty sure it has thrown a code which disappeared spontaneously after about 10 starts.

3. Currently it will start the truck but then it will only idle for 10 seconds and shut itself off.

4. The only use I can really see for it is cooling the engine after a long tow if the truck needs to be left unattended and the key can't be left in it.

Aside from this last thing I would not choose to purchase it again and after owning it I see it as kind of a gimmick.
