2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Removing back seat

I want to soundproof the back wall of the cab of my truck. Is it possible to flip the top of the seat over so I can get to the sheet metal? or do I have to remove the whole seat?

removing the whole seat wasn't a big dea lon my 02. Flip the seat up and your should see 2 bolts on each side that run from a brace into the floor. remove these 4 bolts and lift straight up on the seat and it has slide in clips that hold the back of the seat in place. Getting it out with one person is a little tricky but doable. getting it in with one person is very tough

I removed my rear seat when new and replaced it with a platform and 4 inch foam fully upholstered. this was a convient sleeping quarters as I was hauling commercially, save a ton of money on motel bills. Had an upholsterer

insulate the back of the cab as there is nothing there but tin. this is not a legal D O T sleeper but after 800. k miles whos checking ? Stormy
