No, a Goldwing is a very comfortable touring machine. I'll spend five or six days on the road riding to New England, a little more than a week riding through all the New England states

Don't bother riding through connecticut. . this state sucks for riding with the exception of far northwestern or northeastern sections... way to many bad, crazy, and distracted drivers! That's why I have the toyhauler.

I've got to spend some time in CT. CT is my old home! I rode submarines out of CT from '64 through '74. I lived in Groton, Norwich, Gales Ferry, Taftville, Voluntown, and owned a home in Lisbon and Plainfield back then. I have a lot of good memories of small town rural CT. I've got to make another pilgrimage to the submarine base to spend at least part of a day in the museum also.

Wow, now we're talking about motorcycles. Though it's one of my passions, I'm going to try to get this topic back on topic, even though it's a month since anyone has posted. I don't want to get into any arguments or discussions about which is better, the Max Brake or the new and improved 2012 Dodge improved controller. I have a 2010 with the OEM controller. Does anyone know, since supposedly they improved it in 2012, can there be something done so mine has the new improved version? Can I just remove and replace, or get a reflash? I'm about to purchase another 5er, as well as a 3-axle gooseneck. I want a good controller, but i'm not too keen on having the OEM in the dash and another one under it!

On the basic Dodge Ram that does not have a IBC, like a ST 1500 Reg Cab, that area where the IBC is located has a cover plate with a cubby, just order one of those, install it, than add the controller you want.
