I replaced my 2001.5 track bar with a 3rd gen track bar and after market mount kit for the drivers side end. I had the truck for 14 years and never had a re-alignment done. I cranked in more caster myself early on to help prevent death wobble.
Replacing the track bar won't affect caster, camber, or toe settings. It may slightly change the centering of the steering wheel. That can be adjusted back using the drag link adjuster sleeve with no effect on the alignment.
Like @SnoKing , I set a lot more positive caster for better steering return and tracking straight. I replaced my OEM track bar at 167,000 miles with a Napa track bar. At 216,000 miles I replaced that track bar with a Rare Parts track bar. No alignments with either replacement. The Rare Parts track bar is doing fine at 372,000 miles.
