Is Rickson the only source for these wheels? I turned 48K this week and need to get some replacement tires in mind. I do not like the 17" tire choices... none, and am seriously considering the 19. 5's on 245/70's.

For those of you running them what kind of mileage is expected? I may go to 265's and try to get the mileage up even more. Any comments would be greatly appreciated... . CJ

Currently Rickson is about the only option I've heard of for 19. 5's. I ordered an aluminum set and don't expect to see them until January. Steel wheels are available now. From what I understand tire life can be from 80 to 100,000 miles.

Cobrajet, if you don't mind running adapters, you can go to chromewheel.com or southwestwheel.com, for more choices. They even have 22. 5's and 24. 5's. FWIW,

I understand the adapter wheel setups get pretty hefty weight-wise, even for aluminum wheels. Supposedly Alcoa had a direct bolt-on wheel in the works but who knows when it will come along. . and likely the 2000-up Dodges will be left out of the picture thanks to the oddball offset Dodge uses. I think Rickson is the best player and with their new aluminum wheels coming out soon for 2000-up (99 and down is out already) they have the best setup. Click here for photos of Rickson's Classic and Eliminator wheels. I think they look awesome (even if they were taken with a very wide-angle lens and look distorted in the pictures).

In terms of mileage it depends on what tires you get. Someone commented their Coopers didn't hardly last 30,000 miles whereas Michelins seem to run towards 100,000 or more.

Vaughn, are you saying that those wheels are going to be available for the 3500's (dually). Do I dare ask how much seven are going to cost?

I called Alcoa last week, they are now saying they will have the 19. 5" wheels direct bolt on in the spring. They said they will not release them until they have finished the testing for both the SRW and DRW, for what it's worth the rep thought at most they would be $200 each, pretty resonable for a direct bolt on aluminum 19. 5".

I forgot one. APP Wheels makes an aluminum 19. 5 that bolts up without adapters. Only problem is they are only available in 6" width and very pricey. Only vendor I can find is TS Performance. www.tsperformanceproducts.com. I saw a set on an 03 2wd with 245/70-19. 5 Michelin's and they look pretty cool. If I was getting a 2wd I'd have a set.
