How late will the dyno run?

I will be working later than expected on Sat. (4 pm) and am wondering how late I can get there and still run on the dyno.

We are usually running until at least 5 so you should be able to squeak in. Might want to call first to make sure.

The way this is shaping up we may still be pumping the trucks in untill 7.

Are you callling me a horse, Matt? :D When one of the Dmax guys was talking about riding in my X, I told him, "Sure, I've got a great place for you up on the roof. " You'll fit nicely up there too Matt. Never been tied up with a Chevy guy on the roof of a Ford, have ya? I'm an old Okie gal, I've got plenty of rope and I know how to tie things up really well. :-laf LOL.

Everyone:

Mike Lockner and I will be the main overseers for the day. If anyone has any problems whatsoever, please see one of us. We will be all over the place, but mostly in the Easy Up shelter (it's not very white anymore after all the dyno days :-laf ).

Bob, LaserBob, is in charge of the garage crew. What he says in the garage goes. He will be keeping things running smoothly once your truck gets inside the garage.

Sticks will be in charge of organizing the teams. He will assign somebody to help him get the trucks in line and get assigned numbers put on windshields.

We will also have two guys keeping track of dyno results on their computers. Please help them if they ask you any questions. Hopefully, if you filled out your form correctly, then they will have all the information they need, but just in case.

Computer guys - I will make sure that you both have a space and plug ins and hopefully a barstool to sit on when I head up to PFI this afternoon.

When you get there, the first thing you need to do is come to the kinda-white Easy Up shelter and fill out our forms. There will be a form asking for information about your truck and mods and a PFI waiver form. We must have BOTH of these filled out ENTIRELY before you get your number. You will also pay your $30 fee at this time. Once these things are done, somebody will go to your truck and put a number on your windshield. That will be how we identify your truck throughout the dynoing. Bob will not let you in the garage if you do not have a number on your truck. Sticks will be working furiously on organizing the teams with the information you put on your sheets, so please fill them out completely.

Remember, we will be doing our best to make this the greatest dyno day ever, but I am sure everything will not be perfect. Please be patient with us throughout the day!

The registration booth is also where you can purchase your raffle tickets. We will be selling them at $2 per ticket or 3 tickets for $5. There are a number of prizes, so you should have a pretty good chance on winning something.

But, even if you don't... . remember it is for a good cause!

Keep the questions and ideas coming guys. This is how I get things worked out in my mind before a big event.

Thanks,

Shay

Everyone:

I met with Lance at PFI this afternoon. There will be maps available Saturday morning, so we all know where to park and where things are supposed to be.

The dyno garage crew will be setting up around 7am. We will also need others to help with organization and traffic direction. Dynoing will begin promptly at 8:00 am.

The DJ fell through, so we will have other music playing, plus we will still have the TV playing video of past events.

I did get an '05 Dmax to put on display. It is coming from Dellenbach Motors in Ft. Collins. Great guys. They are even going to trust me with it!

Still working on a '05 Cummins and will find out tomorrow if we will for sure have the '05 PSD. All these dealerships are kinda cooky about territories. Garnsey-Wheeler Ford was going to come out, until they realized that they can't do an event in FC. So, I went to Spradley Barr Ford in FC. Will find out from them tomorrow if they will bring one. Lithia Dodge in FC is supposed to let me know tomorrow to, as Ferreros in Loveland was supposed to bring one until they realized the same thing that Garnsey did. Garnsey is still sending out some shirts and hats though. Nice guys over there. I was kinda thinking that if Spradley won't bring one, I'll just go pick up a new one myself on Friday night and borrow it on Saturday. I'm sure they would let me do that.

I like JD's idea of raffling off prizes throughout the day starting around 10am.

Also, I need EVERYONE to dyno. Your dyno fee of $30 also automatically registers you for the Truck Show. You have to dyno to get into the Truck Show, because we will be using your truck's assigned dyno number as your truck's assigned show number.

I know that some of you weren't planning on dynoing, but come on... . it's for charity! I'll have prizes for each of the team dyno winners and then also Lance has trophies each for the highest HP, highest torque and best in show.

Clean up your truck and get you and your trucks picture taken with a trophy and a Hooter's girl. Hmmmm..... who can me and my truck get our picture taken with? This doesn't seem quite fair. Oh well, I am used to it.

Attention RMTDR members:

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday at the Dyno day. I will not be by a computer after about 10:00 today, as we are taking the camper up to Ft. Collins today so we are in the area with our home away from home. Be prepared as it will be a fast long day, but will be tons of fun. See you there, Oo. Oo. Oo.

Mike L.

Since we who will be working the event will be in rooted in different areas, if anyone has a set of GMRS radios (walkie-talkies) they could loan us to use for the day that might be a big help with the communication aspect. I will be bringing my set.

Looking forward to this. It has been a long boring summer (long???).

This turns into a annual event, we may have to look into taking over a fair ground and getting a portable dyno next year.

Put PFI on some wheels and I'll tow it to the fairgrounds.

I have a pair of two ways, but my hunting partner has the other, I'll try to get ahold of him today and get it back and charged.

Sticks,

I've got four Motorola Talkabout radios and I just plugged them in to charge.

Good idea.

I'm also heading out today to get all those copies made. Picked up the PFI waiver to copy too.

TPC,

When you get there, there will be a table set up for you and Jeff just to the right of the dyno computer. This is where we will sit the two of you. It's not a high table just a regular height, so if you have a regular sized chair please bring it. I will throw some extra chairs in just in case you don't bring one. I'll bring an extension cord with multiple plug ins for you guys.

Everyone:

We will also need some help with directing traffic and Sticks will need a helper to put the numbers on windshields and basically keep the dyno line moving. We will have maps to help facilitate all this.

Thanks,

Shay

Looks like my truck will not be there. See my thread in Truck 911 for why. :(

I'll be there though.

Matt

PS> I don't know if I can bring the methanol, sticks. I will try.

Can't somebody throw Matt's truck on a trailer and tow it up??? It won't be the same without the Line X Dodge there. :{

Sorry to hear about it Matt.

Maybe Matt will bring us some cool broken parts to check out.
