Convoy >> Cheyenne to PFI in Fort Collins Sept. 25th

New Head of RMTDR

Urban assault is my speciality. Haven't you seen some of my other posts on the web? :-laf

I have a digital video camera and a digital still camera, they're not top of the line, but they seem to work well. Maybe somebody can help me out taking some pics and video with them. I'd have Alan do it, but when I gave him the camera when we went to Mexico on vacation 4-years ago, I ended up with lots of video of bikinis on the beach! I know what all is going to be there that day, I really don't need close ups of the Hooters girls.

Garnsey-Wheeler Ford in Greeley will be bringing a 2005 Power Stroke over to PFI for us to check out. They are also donating some shirts for the prize raffle and some decals to hand out.

Thanks Garnsey-Wheeler.

By the way, if anyone has any connections in a GMC/Chevy or Dodge dealership up this way, please let me know. I am still trying to get Ferreros in Loveland to participate and also either King GMC or Davidson Chevy in Loveland. But, I'll take anyone and any prizes. They kind of look at me funny when I pull in their lot with my X and give them my card that says "Colorado Power Stroke Club". I have left fliers at these places, but haven't gotten to the right people yet.

I don't care what they say about ya Shay, you're a keeper! Oo.

I'm working on bringing my Mrs. , she's a camera freak, both video and still. If she comes, she might be interested in working the smart end of your cameras. My only requirement is that there be a little footage of the Hooters girls. :p

You're a funny little man there Bob, Mr. Freight train smoking truck. Last time we had a dyno day, I mistakingly stood inside the garage while your truck was running. The pipe blew off and I was covered with little black specks of "stuff" (I think you call it "power"). Actually, I have to admit it was pretty cool to watch. Pretty cool until I got home and was blowing black stuff out of my nose for two days. Yuck! Even for a non-girlie girl like me, that was gross.

Don't forget, that little white truck of Alan's did pretty well on the track. :D Mine, on the other hand, well... ... :confused: Alan makes more money that I do, so I guess he gets more mods than I do. :-{}

TPC, I will welcome help with cameras and such. I don't mind a little Hooters photography, just not too much. We're there for the trucks, we're there for the trucks. Just keep repeating that to yourself and you'll be alright.

Video would be cool. Do we have enough volunteers in the "film division" to get different views/variety of content. I guess my thoughts are a bunch/good variety of dyno runs, smoke blowing contests and maybe burnouts if we are allowed, shots of some of the vendors who are coming-good way to show off some neat new products, maybe a few nifty underhood shots, and of course some footage of the hooters gals. If they didnt have such good food there that place would have gone under years ago, but when hunger hits hard what else can you do? Anyhow just my ten cents on the issue, might be too much to tackle though, but thought I would comment anyhow. Jordan

Jordan,

All that sounds great. I think we will get some good video. I don't know about doing burnouts, I would love to see it, but not sure how the local police would react to that. And we have to keep in their good graces to get through the day without problems.

I'll put notices on all three websites to recruit photographers and get as many different cameras going as we can. Then if each photographer can put their video on tape and their digital pics on disc and then send them all to me, I will make the time to get them on together on one tape and one disc.

Sound good?

Shay

Don't forget, we plan on bringing a TV, VCR and DVD player to the event so that we can all watch previous video, so if you have any, bring it on out.

EVERYONE:

Calling all photographers and videographers!!

Bring your camera to the dyno day and help us capture all the stills and video we can. After the event, if you will transfer your video to tape and your stills to disc (or just give me a copy of the picture if its not a digital camera), then I will get it all organized together on a tape and a disc for distribution to everyone! We are looking for pictures and video of trucks running on the dyno, smoke shows, engine shots, interior shots, vendor shots (no, I won't "accidently" lose shots of juggies, I promise) and anything else going on during the day!

And, don't forget, we will have a TV, VCR, DVD at the event to show video and pictures of previous events. So, if you have any, bring them on out to share.

Thanks!

Shay

IMPORTANT:

Due to the nature of this huge event, I have decided to forgo the canned food drive this time. We will concentrate on the one charity we have chosen only. So, don't bring your canned good items this time. Just bring your cash!

Thanks,

Shay

Count me in for myself plus 2 other trucks and if ya'll need any help with anything let me know. I'd be happy to contribute! :)

By the way is anyone else going from Colorado Springs. Maybe we could meet somewhere and convoy up. Anyone?? Oo. :-laf

Listen to 96. 1 and 107. 9 for the advertising for this event!!

Also, there will be a disc jockey from "The Rock" there playing music. He will probably be a ways from us on the dyno, down by the car show, but still there none the less.

Shay

Hope to see everyone up there Saturday. I will gladly bring my digital camera and take some pictures. I plan on being there early to get my truck all ready for the day. Shay do you know how early we should be there for the show and shine and how we will be arranged? Oh bye the way, thanks in advance for the outstanding effort that has been put forth for this monumental event. I personally think this event will speak volumes for all of our clubs.

BullyDog has donated three $100 gift certificates, plus some hats & shirts.

Edge is donating something, not sure what until I get it.

Thanks to both!

Shay

Wow, this thing's looking huge!!

Did somebody say there's gonna be hooters' representatives ;) ?

There's a new guy from an ATV forum that's gonna come on up with his virgin 99, let's try to take it easy on him, it's his first time :D . One of my buddies from work will show up late with his duramax, hopefully he can get it on the rollers for it's initial baseline numbers. He caught the bombing bug from my truck :-laf , and plans on an edge juice down the road.

Can't wait for this, nothing like BS'ing with fellow Diesel heads... . Oh, and those ford guys too.

How's that go, You can lead a horse to water, and something about "at least it's a diesel" I don't remember now
