New Head of RMTDR

Gotta join up...

Fellas -

How do I get more info about the RMTDR and/or officially join? Are there regular meetings, etc etc?

Gracias,

- S

Sticks,

I have an erasable board I am bringing this time to post results for people to see. It is pretty good size and should work for us.

SamsRams,

Best I can say is show up at the dyno day on Sept. 25th and you can get more information at that time. Alex Mendez {BigA} is the current pres. of the RMTDR and you can send him a pm about the club.

I have been on vacation out of state the last week or so and can now focus on the dyno day again. I will get with Shay and figure out where we are at with this event and post something to let everyone know. Maybe at the meet on the 25th we can get the club more organized and formal. I'll see what I can do to get Alex there and maybe as a group we can get this thing off the ground. I believe the club has a lot of potiential if we all work togather at it, but we need a main guy to push and organize things.

If someone can get their paws on a projector, I can supply a laptop with Excel and I'd volunteer to operate it for the day. It is possible to rent a projector, but I thought if someone can sneak one out of their office for the day. The only downside is most people hang outside due to the small garage space and danger inside. Even without the projector, I can still keep the data on a spread sheet so it could be later posted on the 'net if you all would want that.

I'll be there with the two company trucks, and maybe a few more.....

Heck, I'd be happy with just a dry erase board with each truck's top run on it, just like sticks is talking about. I thought that was pretty cool at ATS, because it left no question as to who had how much. Gets rid of the :-{} & :{ ... .....

Matt

TPCDrafting,

Go ahead and bring your computer and stuff. As you said I do not think a projector will work as the place is small inside and dangerous behind the trucks. Hopefully the board will work, at least it's better than nothing. It'll be nice to have the info on file to post and email around. Thanks for doing this. Would you be willing to track all trucks that run? I'll let Shay know we can do this from our side.

Mike L.

I like the board too. Gives you something to look at. I'll be there for sure. I plan on bringing both my trucks and I bet a friend or two will come. I need some real numbers on my trucks.

I'm also all about helping out however I can to help things move along.

TPCDrafting,

Hey Tim THANKS a bunch. I know there will be the normal number of Dodges and also Ferds. Shay said a few DMax folks may show up also.

RMTDR:

It was decided that the monies raised for the chairty would go to the Hospice one that was in the group to vote from. Any place would really have been fine with me. PFI bought a color printer for the Dyno computer so we get color print outs this time. I also heard they are searching for donations for door prizes. I'll get with Shay and nail down a starting time and post so everyone knows what time we will be starting. Others can just trickle in during the day as usually happens. I'll post more information as we get closer and nail down the final details. Looks like this is going to be a FUN day on the Dyno.

Regards,

Mike L.

Hey guys!

Yes, Alan and I finally joined TDR. Figured it was high time, plus I had to join so I could keep up with the "talk" in those places that are member only! :-laf Matt has been razzing me about what you guys are saying about me in those "private" forums for a long time. :--) Don't worry though, I am pretty hearty. I take the nickname of "Ferd Lady" pretty easily (I've been called much worse :-laf ).

So, how about starting the dyno runs at 8am?!?!? I figured we needed to add a couple of hours to the day this time, since I think it is going to be one of our bigger dyno days. Like Mike said, the charity we will be working for is Hospice of Larimer County. Dyno runs will be $30 per hook up with as many runs as your heart desires per hook up. NO changing out of components while hooked on the dyno, only flip chips (seconds to switch programs). If you need to make a big change, please unhook from the dyno, pull out of the garage, change out your component and get back in line. No appointments this time, just first come, first serve, get in line as soon as you get there. Then come find me or MikeL (if weather is decent, I'll be under the white tent. If not, I'll be in the office), fill out your paperwork, pay your fee and you'll be all set.

We will also be having prize drawings going on. I am working on the local dealerships (all three) to get some prizes for everyone. Lance at PFI is even getting trophies made up! He is really being great through all of this and working his tail off. He has purchased a color printer for the dyno computer, so this time our print outs will be much clearer and in color! Oo. I know of a couple of guys who are coming with computers (one Dodge guy, one PSD guy) to keep track of dyno results, and I think that will work well, as they can help each other keep track and each get some breaks out of the garage. LaserBob (what would we do without him?) is IN CHARGE (yes, he's the man) of the garage crew for the day. He needs volunteers who are willing to hang out to help hook and unhook trucks from the dyno. This way, I am hoping that Lance at PFI only has to pay one employee to work the dyno that day, since he is donating so much for the charity. MikeL has bought a dry erase board to hang right outside the garage, so we can post dyno info for each run. That will be great.

I was also thinking that if you Cummins guys would like to have a coffee jug or something sitting around, you could take donations towards your banner you want or whatever else you are thinking about. I would be more than happy to help you out with that (I have a ton of plastic coffee jugs, I'll promote for ya and guard your donation jug, etc... ). Our club has found a good place to get shirts, decals and banners made up and I am sure that he would give me a good deal on one for you guys. Think about it.

Remember, this is NOT a Power Stroke event, or a Cummins event or a Duramax event... . it is a DIESEL event! It is officially being hosted by PFI, The Rocky Mountain Diesel Registry and The Colorado Power Stroke Club. The Rocky Mountain Diesel Place (Duramax) guys will also be showing (they are a new group and trying to get organized), so it will be a great mixer! So, come out and show your support!! Even if your truck is stock, this is a great time to get a baseline dyno done, before you start your bombing. Talk to any of these bombed out guys, they all wish they would have gotten a dyno done when still stock. Plus, what better time? $30 is a great price to run and the proceeds go towards a good cause.

Also, if you have a business or know of a business that would like to donate anything to this event, please let either me or Mike Lockner know. We are trying to make this HUGE!

Thanks everyone! Hope to see you all there!

Alan and " The Ferd Lady" Welcome aboard. This diesel thing is addictive. Looking forward to the Dyno day. I plan on running my truck sometime that day. You know, the slightly modified one. Any way it looks like it is going to be a good day. 8:00 start time is great if possible. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hey! Look, it's a Shay!

Nice to see you finally decided to spend the big bucks and join up!

I am still waiting to see if my work will give me the day off for this little event.

As far as the nasty things we say about you (none) or nay of the Ford owners, only the really bad ones. Like those that say they have the best darn truck ever made, and they are on their third buyback in 9 months.

Welcome to the TDR. We from the RMTDR love you like a sis.

Say hey to Allen.

May just be the best dyno day yet!!!

This is a post by Shay @ the Colorado Powerstroke Club website:

I am totally blown away by how this is growing! NOBODY WILL WANT TO MISS THIS DAY! Just a little update:

* Dale Isley with Tymar Performance is still planning on showing up. He will not have his display trailer, but will bring some goodies. He plans on hanging out with us all day and is anxious to meet all of us.

* A new member, Craig, has offered to donate a 300 gig hard disk drive worth $500 retail for our prize drawing! Way to go Craig. We really appreciate that and thanks to Andy at Bud's for referring him to the club!

* Lance at PFI is going all out for this one. He's got a stereo shop coming, as well as a wheels/tires shop coming with displays. He is also donating trophies for highest HP, best interior and best of show. And here are the maybes: We MAY have a '57 Chevy there on display that puts out 2500 HP, we MAY have some dealerships coming with new diesel trucks and goodies and, hold onto your chairs guys, we MAY have a Hooters girl or two. I will keep you all updated on those maybes as time gets closer.

* We will have lunch that day. I am working with Wendy's to see if they will catar and help out the charity for that day (they do this, just have to see if they approve the letter I sent in requesting it). If this doesn't work out, we will have a hot dog/brat vendor selling lunch.

* This is the part that I am just blown away about and since I am just speechless (yes, it is possible), I will just paste a copy of the emails I just received from these vendors. You see, I have been sending out emails and making phone calls to vendors I know all over asking for donations for our Charity Dyno Day and here are the responses I have gotten so far, I am sure there will be many more:

Shay,

Give me a shipping address and I'll send you some goodies.

And another:

Quote:

Shay,

Assuming that most of the trucks will be Power Strokes, Swamp's

Diesel Performance will donate a 4 or 6 position TS Performance

chip programed with the burns of the winner's choice, or a gift

certificate for $500 off any set of injectors.

This one came from a phone call:

* Matt at B-2 Performance (our Line X Dodge plus 6. 0 L buddy) is donating a Snow Stage I water injection kit. This has the variable controller and two 625 nozzles!!!!!!!

Now, I knew these guys are great people and all, but I never expected that!

Are you guys blown away too or what?????? Now, I just have to figure out how much to charge for the drawing tickets?????? We may have to have a couple of seperate drawings or something, since some of the prizes are HUGE and some of them are shirts, hats, etc... ...

Input requested!

DON'T ANYONE MISS THIS EVENT!

Now, we are going to have a parking problem BIG TIME! I hope that dirt lot across the street is still vacant.

Thanks Matt for posting that. I hadn't gotten around to putting it over here or on the Dmax site just yet.

The day is getting huge. I am really excited. I am still working on getting more prizes, including lots of stuff for Cummins and Dmax guys, so don't worry... . I'm not only working for the PSD guys. But, if any of you have a business or know of a business that you think might like to donate towards this, please give them a shout and let me know if you need help with it.

Lance at PFI is working really hard to secure parking for us all and I have complete confidence in him. I have in my plans to get up there next week to meet with him and go over the parking and some other stuff and I will update you all on when I plan on doing it. If anyone wants to come too, you are all more than welcome.

I'll be out of town for the weekend and away from my computer, but will be back on Monday night/Tuesday morning, so I will check in again then.

Thanks guys!

Shay

Here's another donation....

Just another donation. This will fit all three brands!

* Brandon, Flyn' Hawaiian is donating a 4" turbo back stainless Ansa/Silverline brand exhaust (3. 5" downpipe on the 6. 0, but 4. 0" on the others). He will outfit a PSD, Cummins or Dmax with this system.

Shay

Hey Matt (mdivincentis), you bringing your meth down again? I'm out and could use another 5 gallons. I'm sure you could foist off some more of it to others again.

Another donation:

Blue Sun Biodiesel is donating some tshirts and a 5-gallon bucket of B100 for the drawings.

Thanks Blue Sun!
