MNTDR Annual BWW Gathering!

Area Diesel Service Open house, dyno run June 16, DM, IA

Maybe we could all meet up for us guys coming from Ft. Collins/Denver metro area at say the outlets at Castle Rock at some point in the morning and have a large convoy headed to the Springs. Just an Idea. Or if anybody has another place to meet suggestions are always welcome.

Looking at the KAZ web page, there are pics of the dyno. Can it take dually's?

I have recently been coraled into WYO chapter president of the cumminsforum.com group and I will gather a few of them to join in as well.

Also, what time does this thing kick off? I will be planning a zero-dark-thirty departure time from here.

That'll work!

Tim I'd imagine we'll start around 9 am or so. So you'd be good leaving by 5:30 or 6 :D I know, that sucks on a saturday morning.

I will be there setting up at 6am for anyone who is an early riser.

The dyno will accept an 86" track. What we have been doing for Snow Perf and other duallies is yank off the outer wheels. There will be a jack and air gun their to pull them real quick. It will not effect your output numbers. This machine works off of tractive effort... not the speed of the wheel or how fast the wheels come to speed.

Yee-hah, this sounds like fun Oo. I will be there with possibly 2 or 3 more from this end. will let ya know for sure. Thanks for putting this together. :-laf

OK I google mapped this whole thing and if we leave Cheyenne around 6:00 AM (McDonalds at College and I-25) stop at the rest area in Fort Collins just north of the Harmony road exit at around 6:45. That puts us at Castle rock factory shops around 8:00-8:15. From there it's only 38 mins to KAZ. 2 things, 1 let me know where a good place to meet that would be quick easy access on and off I-25 and plenty of room for several trucks. Secondly let me know if the time frames I have are unrealistic and we can adjust. Thirdly let me know if we should schedule more stops and/or if there are others joining on in other locations and just want us to blow smoke as we go by and you can join up. :p

I guess I'll take the lead on the time and place to meet at the outlets. I think if everyone is there by 8:30-8:45 A. M. we could leave as close to 9:00 and head on down to KAZ. As for the place to meet I know there is a FREX park & ride that we could all meet up at in the parking lot. If anybodys interested there is a McDonalds right next to the outlets for a quick bite and some joe before we head to the springs. If anybody has a better suggestion please speak up. I don't get down to the outlets very often. I mostly see it from the highway during my weekly Castle Rock lumber deliveries.

Sounds like a good plan to me Tim.

I'll be sitting at the rest stop at Harmony and I25 at 6:45 all who care to join from up north be there!

Then the FREX parking lot sounds good too. We'll all get bunched up there and head on in. 8:30-8:45 is a good time frame.

One suggestion to you guys... if you all meet in CastleRock for the final leg of the rally to my shop... someone should jump ahead to the Tomah Road exit overpass and take pictures or a video of the group driving down. :D

i'll plan on meeting at the harmony rest stop at 6:45 too. This is gonna be fun. Oo. And yeah the video would be awesome.

I'll be coming over from the air force academy and will get someone in the convoy to drop me a line so i can get up on there in time to get pictures, also can take video but i need a firewire connection which i don't have; don't have one at the shop do you?

This'll be fun! Oo.

Hey guys I was in Castle Rock today and I have a better place to meet at the outlets. There is a lot across the street from McDonalds to the North which I think would be easier to gather since you can't miss it being directly across for Mickey D's. Map If you guys click on the aerial map it will give you a better view of the lot.

BREAKFAST???

Folks, for anyone in the local (Colorado Springs) area, me and Trevor will be at the IHOP (N. Academy, just south of I-25) for breakfast at 0730 that morning (10 Mar). I'd like to invite everyone to meet us there for a little morning breakfast before we go spin the rollers :-laf .

Look for me with my white/grey 1st gen D250 and Trevor with his big bad maroon/silver '99 24v 2500 4x.

Anyone up for some morning chow?? :D
