This coming weekend our family will host the 3rd annual Ethan's Rodeo at the Adams County Fairgrounds north of Quincy, IL. Money raised will go towards research of Neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer. The event is held in honor of our nephew who died from the disease in 2009. New this year will be a Ram Truck test drive event put on by Little Jess Dodge of Quincy. A driving course will be set up and Little Jess will make a donation for every test drive. Dodge representatives will also be on hand. Trucks will be on display Friday and test drives will be held on Saturday afternoon. Dates are August 17th and 18th. Rodeo starts at 7:00 both nights, gates open at 5:30 Friday and 4:00 on Saturday with kids events from 4:30 to 6:30. Kids under 10 can participate in a stick horse parade in the arena at 6:45 both nights. Kids under 6 sheep chase both nights as well. We also have available tickets donated for children and their families who have a childhood illness. Camping is available but let me know ahead of time to guarantee a spot. There would be plenty of room available if anyone wants to get together in the afternoon. For more information go to www.ethansrodeo.com.

Thanks to anyone who can attend,

Matt Weiman

Thank you for doing this. We have a son with Neuroblastoma, He just had his (hopefully) last Chemo 2 weeks ago and will start tests next week to see how effective it was. He is doing well and really a very resilient little guy. We did have some scary moments from the side effects of the treatment but right now things are going well. Wish I was closer so I could be a part of it!
I am sorry for your loss.

i wish that you were closer as well. we try hard to find local children struggling with any illness and let them and their families come free of charge. our hope is that the money we raise will help your son and others win the battle. i hope that you recieve nothing but good news from this point foward. our prayers are with you.

Bob, sorry to hear that, we wish you the best. I believe you can look in the history tab on the rodeo website to read Ethan's story. There is an Ethan's Rodeo Facebook page also. We are very happy with the money this event has raised. I will try to get some pictures and information posted after the event.
