Just that I feel for ya. The mildly build 350 in my 70 chevy will out tow my 93 cummins and only gets 4mpg less doing it most of the time. I am only towing 5K lbs and my truck struggles up some hills. Starting to get me frustrated.
I don't tow any thing with my truck and if I did it would melt down but It definently doesnt have a problem beating 460 equiped fords in town. I would agree on the more fuel suggestion. It sounds like you have the driveline well taken care of and checked most possible problems I think it is time to start turning screws. I know that turning in the fuel screw took my truck down about 3 sec in the quarter mile and took the boost from 18psi to 28psi. With all simple mods to the pump it was pegging the 30# guage hard with the baby H1C. Best of luck and keep on tinkering it will pay off.
Oh, agian I don't tow and I am sure I would want maybe 3. 73's if I did but 40 inch tires finnally load down the truck enough to get the turbo spooled. I love driving it with 3. 54's and 40's, Granny gear is still way to low to use. I don't think 4. 56's have any place behind a cummins
