Saw a quad do a flip tonight

Went the Monster Jam in Reno tonight. The monster trucks were, well, kind of lame. Gravedigger was there and by far the best. The others were not so good. There were 5 to begin with and two broke down. But 1800-2000 hp coming out of anything is pretty cool. Anyway, there was a quad demo team there and three of them did some pretty amazing jumps with kicks and supermans and other stuff that I don't know the names to. Then they pulled out a really BIG ramp and the forth guy pulled off a back flip! Made it look easy. Next time the bikes and quads come to town, I'm going to see them! Way cool!

I have been to a couple Monster truck shows in Reno and I get the impression that our facilities are not large enough for these trucks move around and put on a good show.



I must admit, it is some mighty good redneck fun though! Oo.

AMink, I've been to a bunch of Freestyle Motocross events and it never gets old. These guys come out with new tricks every day that are just amazing.

Yeah Rankram, I think the Livestock events center is just too small to get up any good speed. They almost have to stop before they get going. I saw in the paper today the audience was described as "mostly blue collar". :-laf

the guy that did the backflip was most likely john guter he is the only guy to land a backflip on a quad there was a show on discovery channel about him a few nights ago

Could have been. They said he's the only guy in the world who can do it, but I didn't catch his name. Wish I brought my camera. It was flat out amazing!

Now they're doing flips on snow mobiles too. . The freestyle MX guys are doing backflip combos-like backflip/360s, backflip/heelclickers, backflip/supermans,etc. They're unbelievable!
