Screen savers and windows themes for our TDR faithful.

Has anyone made any screen savers or windows Plus type themes, for there computer? I have been toying around with the idea of creating some but wondered if there was any already out there. I thought maybe if some of us did we could put them somewhere on the site here for guys to download and BOMB there computers with. I think it would be awesome to start up your computer and rather than the cheesy music of windows instead you have the throaty rumble of a straight piped straight six comeing straight at ya



Anyway, let me know what you guys think and maybe some others who have even more experience at it than I do can jump in and set us up. Between all the pics in the galleries and the sound files floating around it should be real easy. If not I will probably be trying to come up with something nice on my own.

I Love it, I have wanted for my puter to rip out a Cummins roar when you log on for a long time but I am puter challenged , its above my capacity, if you do this make it easy on idiots like me so we can load it with a simple click .

A couple of years ago somebody put up a downloadable wav. file of a Cummins starting up & revving. I had it but lost it in a HD crash. Mebbe it's in the archives.

now if someone wanted to be real creative, they could make up a complete windows theme package, that you install in a folder in the windows themes and if you select it from the control panel, everything goes in the right places.



and i know the perfect sound for when the computer tells you not to do that [kinda like emergency stop]...

There you go again using that word idiots You said a mouthful Whitmore (I am puter challenged,its above my capacity) ,it you do this make it easy on idiots(Do you have a personalized licensee plate with that word)like me so we(are you suggesting that there are more idiots out there)can load it with a simple click.

The complete theme is what I am thinking about doing, I have alot on my plate right now so it would be a while before I could do it, but I can. If you guys have sound files of the trucks etc. please e-mail them to me and I will try and get started. Figure maybe using the TDR emblem as one of the main background themes and then using various pics of rigs doing different things, like pulling a trailer, belching out some smoke, etc.

Directions for configuration

I'll see what I can do to write up a 'cookbook' style set of directions to help the computer challenged configure their machines. What types of things do you want to configure?



Boot up sounds? wallpapers? mouse pointers? They are all fun to customize but can take a bit of digging around to set each one.



I'll try to explain as I give step by step instructions, so if your OS varies slightly, you'll still be able to fish around and get the job done.
