I Have a shake in my 99 Duallie.

It starts ever so lightly at about 63 MPH and get progressively worse until 70 MPH
then it seems to lessens as speed increases over 70 but still has a slight shake

Most of the time its there, just worse at times

I dont know if its me or not but it seems to get worse on turns

I have had two sets of wheels and tires (both sets balanced),
Replaced the carrier bearing, the U-joints and had the shaft balanced

There is some play in the wheel bearings, But it is ever so slightly:confused:

I thought maybe it would be the ball joints(They needed to be changed anyway)
And still the same shake

Other than those front end problems... its tight

Any Ideas??

I'm fighting a similar situation (see Steering Issues) but I think it is caster shimmy. But anything loose in the front end will cause it to shake... . ANYTHING!

My shake was not speed related but I just cured the shake in my front end. I relaced track bar, steering gear, add DSS, new shocks, but recently the shimmy got worse when braking. I replaced the front brake rotors and I'm shake free now. I believe the rotors contributed to most of the problem but recently got worse and it was obvious when hitting the brakes the shake started. Search on my user name and you will find posts on my front end problems.

Good luck,

Dave
