Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Shift Tower ?

I know that the 94-97 NV4500's use the round shift tower and the 98+ use a square shift tower that bolts on with 4 bolts. Is either one better than the other. The transmission I'm getting rebuilt has either option for the shift tower. Any info or help would be great. Thanks

the later shifter has shorter throws. You wil need the shifter handle and put a piece of pipe insulaton around the stalk so it will fit the larger hole in the 97 boot.

thats what i did.





I like the new tower B/C you can put BD's short shift kit in if you want
