Who here is running a shock tower delete kit on a stock height truck?

Only asking for how simple it would make replacing shocks when needed.

I don't have them so I might be missing something here. But, it appears that you still have to remove the flush mount shock mount. Same three bolts as the tower. Stock level will require shorter shocks. That means shorter reservoir and less fluid/stroke.

If you are looking for more room/clearance for something, than I can see it.

Buy the active Swaybar from Thuren instead, this helps greatly offroad.
Axle articulation nearly doubles with it.

Already have the Carli unit installed and they are both beefy units. Made a huge difference with on road driving.
Truck rocks side to side over uneven roads but that’s the 18yr old factory shocks

got new ones to install in the mail this morning.

Sounds good.
My experience with shocks is mixed yet. I had a nice setup of FOX at the front axle but they were to stiff for my liking on the compression setting.
In lack of an alternative I went then with yello/blue Bilsteins instead, nice soft compression but.... way to soft rebound too. Bouncing around like a tennis ball.

My favorite would be soft compression combined with hard rebound, seems no one offers that in a high end damper. At least not from the shelf.
What did you buy?

Oh, and if you really go offroad, put a Truss onto your front axle. Bent mine and paid heavy to get I fixed, that ripped a deep hole into my pocket.
But now I can go flying with the Truss and the Boggie bumps...:D:cool:

Went with blue and yellow bilstien for same reason. Was going to do 5100 but heard the springs can move on rebounds and I don’t want that.
I’ll eventually be running the Carli bank country 2.0 3” lift with Rear progressive springs, bilstein 5100 all around and the mopar steering upgrade, emf ball joints and probably the Carli opposing high and low stabilizers

work in progress but that’s what I want to run

Got the Carli balljoint and never regretted that either.
The Gold standard if it comes to balljoints.
I beat the hell out of the whole setup by going to Saline Valley several times a year, and it lasts. Saline Valley road is the worst you can do to a Truck. 40 Miles of Gravel with rocks poking out the surface every 3 feet. Even aired down to 25psi it is baaaaaad.

Good to know. Was looking at the Carli joints. I like the lifetime warranty.
Looked at kryptonite joints as well for the no question asked replacement policy but with how chai they are I don’t want to change them every year.
I don’t off-road much but my road to work beat the hell out of you regardless.

Don't get Bilsteins. Mine beat me to death.
