What's Texas Life Like?

French terror alert!!!

Do you prefer doing it anonymously by the internet, catalog or do you need the visual experience of hands on shopping in a store? :D

Prefer seeing things hands-on, then shopping online to find best price. If you can't get free shipping, though, it's usually worth it to just pick it up in the store.

I do about 50/50 internet to local shopping. I like to give the local stores my business whenever possible if they are within 10% of the internet.

Sometimes the store doesn't have exactly what I want and if they really don't give any effort I just go home and buy it online.

I bought a camera last year after I shopped around on the internet and read the product reviews. Before I made the purchase I went to Best Buy to give them a shot at the price and they were 25% higher than the internet and I would have had to pay tax.

Some items I buy used on Ebay, etc. and save substantially(30% +) over new.

i do shopping on both the net and in store... depends on where i can get a good deal, and how much shipping is going to cost vs. time and fuel driving to a store to get something [and then the kick in the butt when they don't have something in stock]

I will buy on the internet if there is a significant price savings AND I am confident that it is the product that I want to get. Sometimes I need to feel and touch a product before deciding, in which case, I prefer to buy locally. Sometimes I will look and a product at a retail store, and then buy online, but I think it's good to support local retail stores too. I don't think we would be happy if all retail dried up and we had to order everything online. That's all I have to say about that.
