Should I use synthetic fluid or not

Never heard of ATF+4 not being synthetic but if it did I would use the synthetic

I do believe ATF +4 is only synthetic.

I think your right. When I looked on line I thought I found both kinds

I switched over to Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal full synthetic because it works in everything I own. It seems to have firmed up the shifts and the lockup a little. Around $20 per gallon at Walmart
