I've found an inexpesive way to test the relay that operates intermittently. I purchased a 40 amp

at Radio Shack for about 5 bucks, installed it and worked fine. Radio Shack has a 70 amp on line for about 8 bucks, ordered one and installed it and i'ts been working fine. the reason I did it this way

was after testing the relay it seemed to work ok only to have it fail on a trip. I replaced the original

one after over a million miles so these are very durable relays. stormy

To test an older relay you also want to check voltage drop across the load when energized
