Shutoff solenoid VW TDI question

I thought that I had read on here that there was a solenoid off of a VW TDI that would work w/ our trucks. Was I dreaming or is it true? If so does anyone have the part #. Thanks.

The only VW to Cummins solenoid interchange might be the shutdown solenoid on the old 1. 6L (IDI) VW's with the Bosch rotary pumps... they look like they could be a dead ringer for a 1st Gen Cummins/Dodge with a rotary pump.



The VW TDI doesn't have a shutdown solenoid on the injection pump... at least not in the sense that we're used to.



None of the VW diesels have a shutdown solenoid like what's on the P7100 equipped 2nd Gen 12-valves... If they do - it's news to me.

Thanx Matt. That is what I am finding out after some searching today. It was for a fella I met over in Phoenix the other day. I gave him the # up at Piers and told him that was probably his best bet. Lotsa diesels out here in the valley of the sun, but not a lot of smoke. Can't figure that one out.
