site is slow again

The forums are running real slow again. I use Dialup so it is always slow but usually I use the PDA dial up format and it is OK. The past couple of days that is slower than the regular format. Seems to be just this site as other sites are OK. The count is 327 members and 869 nonmembers - is this the reason it is slow or is there something else?

I just looked at the server logs and there's nothing indicative of a problem on this end. 1100 users online is an average load now. When you posted at midnight (est) the server loads were very low - . 2 and . 04 (2. 0 being fully loaded on our dual cpu servers). The next time you notice slow performance try doing a tracert by going to a command prompt and typing: tracert www.turbodieselregister.com . That will give you the times through all of the routers between you and the TDR. If you get any asterisks it means that connection is timing out which will cause slow downs for you. BTW - I'm surfing the TDR and typing this out on my cell phone in the middle of the woods hunting.

Well, I guess that shows your dedication to the site I think we could live without you for a day or two - hope you get your deer(or whatever you are hunting)
