The 93 knocks when lightly taking off, the #6 inj is covered in black sooty/oily crap, the little rubber washer that keeps water from going down in the inj bore is gone, and while going down the road she likes to spit sparks from under the hood. Started yesterday night, haven't been able to check it out yet. Any ideas on where to start? The antifreeze level is alittle lower, oil looks fine, and all gauges were in check. When I popped the hood before I shut her off nothing was cheery red or looked hot. What do you think?

No the fan blades arent hitting anything and I dont think theres a short. Im pretty sure its a compression leak because of the missing/knocking and the crap all over the injector. The number 6inj has always been kind of nasty when Ive pulled it so my quess is the head has finnaly cracked enough and allowing the compression to leak up past the injector.

change your cooper sealing washers and repalce the rubber seal. . make sure you clean the injector bores and seat real well so the new copper washers seal good. .

Yup, what he said! When you get it clean, look in there with a good light for cracks. The rubber seal keeps dirt and water out of the injector hole. Not really needed as much on our trucks as on industrial machines with grills over the engine. They do help though. ;)

Cleaned it all up good, theres a very small crack thats visable. I went ahead and put a new washer on anyways (I need the money right now) and shes sealed up 4 a little wile I hope. Its time 4 a new head. Thanks for your help.
