DiabloSport's Stack Combo for Dodge Cummins

Kalamazoo Michigan (SMARTY) U can Test

I can't believe that Bob has had a smarty for the cr trucks for two weeks and no one has gone over and tried it out. Either that or they did and aren't talking.

Im kind of new to this smarty thread but I was wondering, with only 9 programs, could there be a way to disable torque management in percentages as a separate sub catagory, in other words...

With smarty pluged in the first screen would show. .

1. Program 1 through 9 with catcher software

2. Tire/abs size

3. read/ clear dtc

4. set torque management.

then you push 4 and go into torque management and from there you can select the following...

1. stock torque management

2. 10% torque management reduction

3. 20%

4. 30%

any way you can select how much torque management you want to delete and then install your catcher progam along with it.

Just more available fine tuning .

I may be way off on this but I thought I would put it out there for you guys to consider.

Thanks, Jason

by the way, i did not stop at just 30% Marco, the rest of the settings could go up in percentages of 10% or 20%

untill you get to full "No torque management" , "I enjoy buying transmissions, and I kinda think of my truck as a top fuel dragster and love rebuilding it after each pass down the strip " setting number 9

Do theirs fire 3 times per stroke? I'm thinking that is one of the main causes of the limit (you have to fit 3 injection events per stroke, not 1). In my simple thinking, if we could just have one injection event then the rev limit would be almost tripled. I know the other 2 events aren't near as long as the main one, but the injector still has to open/close 3 times per stroke (as far as I understand it).

Im pretty sure that the injectors would not be able to fire three times per power stroke, nor would any body ask that it fire three times. one simple long one placed at the right time ought to do just fine.

I've tried twice to get a test :(

First time Bob said it was vin locked.

Never got a return call the 2nd time I was in the area :{

Just another Idea..

It would make me feel better if there was a way to set it up so that above xxxx RPM it would just go to ONE injection event per power cycle. Say, above 1400 RPM? That way we would not be wearing out our injectors 2 or 3 times as fast as they should be. Plus I think it would sound a lot cooler! :)

Man have u guys looked at the number of views on this thread??????? I was amazed, been following since the begining, guess there maybe some interest ehh?? Must be 50 or so of my views lol. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Marco!

You and Bob have some info to share... We know it!!!

C'mon... out with it already!

Jedi mind trick - wave hand at yourself here and read following out loud:

"Smarty 3rd Gen info is imperative - must share with the masses on TDR!"

:)

The anticipation is KILLING us here... HELP US OUT!

Off top of my head questions:

0) When can we start getting them? (I think this is the best question of all)

1) What features did you decide to include?

2) Will there be multiple downloads so different folks can do different "things" with their Smarty 3rd Gen (e. g. 1 feature set for the RPM guys, another for street racers, another for tow-rigs... )???

3) Did you disable the 3rd Injection event? How is the MPG gains (on fuel saver, on level 4 or 5, and on level 9)?

4) Did you keep pressure out of it, or make it an option?

5) Do you still maintain that a good set of sticks is the best complement to a Smarty?

6) What are the EGTs looking like?

etc.

etc.

etc.....

GREAT Job, by the way!!

I don't mean to harass you, just anxious to find out more info!

Thanks!

Wellll... .

We've spend one full week on a Mustang dyno, testing.

Results are GREAT! Oo.

Bob will update you ( on the web, NOT on the phone ) tomorrow, latest Sunday. Smarty will be availabel within the next 15 days.

I will look for the update from Bob - and again - thanks for the "more info"...
