DiabloSport's Stack Combo for Dodge Cummins

Kalamazoo Michigan (SMARTY) U can Test

So I have a question will the smarty be compatible with the BanksPower PDA? thanx

I guessing Marco didnt test every possible combonation with every electronic power adder, at every possible level, on a dyno. You're asking for alot. So my guess is you're on your own. Buy it and try it, or wait for somone else to run your combo.

Wellll... .

We've spend one full week on a Mustang dyno, testing.

Results are GREAT! Oo.

Bob will update you ( on the web, NOT on the phone ) tomorrow, latest Sunday. Smarty will be availabel within the next 15 days.

Marco

Maybe a dyno graph that fuels fully till 3800rpms?

Music to my ears... . :)

I will be watching this thread till sunday with baited breath... After my truck was broken into and my fancy stereo stolen, The only way to make me whole again will be to have a Smarty, yeah, thats it, yep... :-laf

Must be really tough listening to that engine...

On a serious note, sorry to hear about the radio.

Who would've known? Waiting for the right one (downloader) really does make it special. :-laf

Ok, Sunday is here and we can start with some of the information that we put together last week after lots or dyno runs. Remember this is Marco meets dyno for the first time.

Lets start out by saying that torque management for both the auto and manual is a thing of the past if that is what you want or need.

Should have seen Marco's first deive with smarty running the 170HP program with the CaTCHer software enabled  Holy crap it was :-laf

The 04. 5 auto took off so fast that the tires were smoking and the power was on quick. The gate was approaching rather quickly and Marco went into action and make it through the gate :-laf

This was my first ride in a cr truck that could pull this hard from a stand, very impressive us an understatement.

so many word so little time so here is our first thoughts for the Smarty CR line up.

SW # 0 : Half power

SW # 1 : 30hp increase, with added timing .

SW # 2 : 60hp increase, no added timing.

SW# 3 : 60hp increase, with added timing.

SW # 4 : 90hp increase, no added timing.

SW# 5 : 90hp increase, with added timing.

SW # 6 : 130hp increase, no added timing.

SW# 7 : 130hp increase, with added timing.

SW # 8 : 170hp increase, no added timing. ***

SW# 9 : 170hp increase, with added timing. ***

(*** Only for the 04. 5's and up)

All program will be same as vp cr half with timing and half with no timing.

The plan is to have smarty cr optimizied for a stack with the TST CR box for the ultimate combination.

I have to run more info soon.

This box is awesome Oo.

Now that is what I have been waiting to hear! Sound like Marco has been working hard, and now is having a little fun! Can't wait to get to try it!

Thank you Marco and Bob!!

Thanks for the update guys! Lovin' the results!

Good work Marco!

Thanks to Bob for getting us up to speed!

Quick questions:

a) On the higher horsepower settings... Auto Trans (stock) expected life-span?

b) Do you need an aftermarket fuel system (FASS, etc) to be able to use the high power settings?

c) Pressure or No Pressure?

(this is a big concern for 3rd Gen guys worried about injector life span!)

d) 3rd Injection even on or off? Optional?

Thanks again for the updates...

Of course, now the crave for info is worse, but hey...

we'll deal with it!

Thanks!

stock auto transmission most likely will be limited to the 30 HP softwares

Fass or Walbro would be a nice addition draining the rail on upper levels may be likely.

very little pressure, very safe :)

dropping the 3rd injection event lowered the hp by 100hp and increased the egts over too

Bob -

Thanks for the quick replies...

Bummer about the 3rd injection event! I guess 3rd Gens will have to rely on Marco's timing and other tricks to help them get better mileage!

Speaking of mileage... Any testing on mpg increases yet?
