Please keep track of your fuel mileage too. We appreciate all the input. The call's are coming in and lets keep the tdr tradition. Thanks.

... Not to hijack this thread, but please post your fuel mileage here ... So far, not too much feedback in real numbers. Intro pricing for Jr is expiring soon. It would be nice to see more fuel improvement numbers in time for those of us 'on the fence' to take advantage of the pricing.

JEEEZZ!! If the fuel economy improves as much as the throttle response I'll be getting about 30mpg! I just installed it this morning, 2 hours ago and drove to work, 42 miles. Economy is up some, but too soon to tell how much yet. It's on the "Economy" setting; which one is that anyway?, 40 or 70? Definitely more rattle at idle and low rpm. I had to re-educate my feet to keep from slipping the clutch unnecessarily and shift smooth. This thing runs like a carbureted small block instead of a 2 stroke motorcycle. Next week we leave for a 1000+ mile trip from San Diego to Flagstaff for Christmas. Should be interesting. I keep VERY meticulous records, like every drop of fuel I've ever put in it, both overhead and hand calc. VERY happy so far

I'd jump OFF of the fence and get one. I am running the 40hp setting now and like the way it wakes it up on low end. It's too soon for me to report mileage because I am having fun with it. BUT... . even with enjoying the extra power, I am NOT seeing the fuel gauge moving fast to the "E".

Does anyone know if an older computer can be used to change softwares in the Smarty JR. ?

I have Windows XP & AOL "dial-up". Will this work?

Thanks.

How about Mac OS X while we are talking compatibility?

Windows is like a Ford/Navijunk 6. 0:-laf:p

First tank on level one I picked up one mpg hand calculated. Most of this tank was a mix of hiway and city driving. Will chime in when I get thru the second tank. Even if I didn't get better mileage I would still be very happy with this product just from the performance gains and lower egt's.

Towing with Smarty Jr.

I picked up my Smarty Jr. yesterday. Loaded level one. Truck is definitely more sporting to drive. Jury is still out on fuel mileage. The overhead shows a mileage improvement but that may just be a confused computer. No rattle, no more smoke than stock. My question is has anybody towed with a Junior? Can you tow on level one. I know level two is tow. How about level three. Any first hand knowledge? Trailer weighs 8500 lbs.

I do not have gauges. Thanks. Jeff

I have almost the same truck as you and the mileage is up noticably. I only have 250 miles with the Smarty JR. loaded on "economy" (which is that, 40 or 70hp?) and the first 200 on this tank were without it, but the number of miles to the half mark on the fuel gauge went up a bunch compared to normal.

I did notice a little more rattle at idle and low rpm, and maybe a little more smoke when I goose it below 1800rpm or so. And, yes, it's a LOT nicer to drive.

I just ordered a Smarty JR from Wagner. Should I disconnect my Quadzilla XZT non adjustable module, or leave it in place when I download the Smarty?

If it were me I'd junk out that Quadzilla, you really don't need anything else other than JR.

High Idle

Are we talking the high idle feature that uses the cruise control? Mine doesn't work. Or does it take more than enabling the computer using the Smarty JR. Mine is a 6 speed is there something different I need to do? Jeff
