I realize that every truck is different but i was just wondering if anybody out there could give me any advice or point me in the right direction as far as settings to try on my smarty to see what works best for my truck. My truck is in my sig. Right now i have it on sw4, torque 3, timing 2, wastegate off, and rail pressure 2, with the edge ez(three settings version for 30, 60, 90 hp or maybe its 20, 40, 60. Regardless the EZ is set on two at the moment. Thanks in advance.

Ok. maybe this would be a better question. Can anybody tell me what settings i don't want to use, That way i can at least be on the safe side and not have to worry about messing something up by getting the settings way off.

I would set RP to 1 if your using the EZ.

What are you trying to do with the truck? TNT4 seems like a big tune for a stock turbo.

Do you have a built trans? TQ3 is probably too aggressive for a stock trans.

If you are using the EZ at all, leave the RP @ 1, Stock CP3 leave tq at 1 or you will drain your rail too early and have nothing left up top. Your 06 can handle timing at 2 or default(both the same). Wastegate off is good, keep it from throwing codes.

You got a built trans, I would go with SW6/7 (DODGE74 just read the two programs with EFI and proved they are the same with the same timing), timing 2, rp 1, tq1, shift defuel stock, wastegate off, speed limiter 250, stock rpm. Be sure to make the tire size adjustments to be accurate to your truck.

This is as about as hot a tune as your truck can do for short blast's, your not going to be able to tow, or keep egt's in check, (empty truck) for long. You said you wanted to haul... ...

If you tow at all, move to sw1, same options, then watch egt's very close, because sw1 w/TNT is almost 100hp gain, and your stock turbo will not keep it cool.

All above is at your own risk... kind of like when TST's 03 Twins program first came out, HE341 turbo shaft's were snapping like toothpicks.

something must be wrong with my smarty then cause i drive it with sw9 tm2 tq4 rp2 and dont have any problems with egts or anything else and my truck is pretty much stock. i even towed my car tralier with a car on and used the same settings. it towed great but i dont think its putting no 230 extra hp to the ground. sw1 is supposed to be 100 more hp but my truck drives like stock at that level

Merkel, you must be the exception... . fill out your sig.

your truck is "pretty much stock".

Keep towing at that level... A factory CP3 cannot support sw8/9 with stock injectors, a stock CP3 cannot support sw6/7 with anything over stock injectors.

So you are doing just fine with sw9 and a stock CP3/STOCK INJECTORS.....

yeah stock injectors turbo and cp3. my rp is over 23000 at wot. it only smokes when i first put it to the floor then when the turbo is spooled all the way it clears up. i called bob n he said he loaded the tnt tune in the smarty himself. it has good bottom end and is real touchy with tq on 4 but dont seem to have the top end. i tryed all the levels and 8 and 9 are the best and the timing doesnt seem to do anything

You need to set the tq to 1, you are demanding too much fuel too early, leaving little for the top end. A stock CP3 cannot maintain that amount of fuel through the power band, plus I believe you will come to enjoy the driving manners and less smoke... .

I've been running sw6, tq3,tm2, rp1, wg off, and ez on 3. Runs pretty good. How do I know if I've drained the rail. I'm thinking my next step will be a bag of parts for the cp3. While I'm saving up for twins and nozzles I'm going to try to figure out what the best combo would be. Idk if there is some disadvantage to a sticker twin kit or not or how much HP it can handle.
