When I installed my fuel pressure gauge I used two senders for pre and post measurements. Even though I remotely mounted them I used snubbers to ensure that they didn't destroy themselves as has happened to some.
Here's the problem. Prior to the elctronic gauge I had a mechanical one. It moved very quickly. In fact you could watch the needle move with the pulse of the VP44. At WOT I could drop my pressure to 5 with a quick recovery to about 8. Cruising it was about 11-12 pounds and 14 at idle.
The new gauge reads 14 at idle and 12 cruising. At WOT I have a hard time driving it below 10-11. I'm wondering if the snubbers are stopping enough flow to make the gauge reading either inaccurate of just to slow. I have the Stewart Warner gauge and senders. 1 pound pressure difference between pre and post. Idle seems OK so I think accuracy isn't the problem.
Regardless I'll yank em this weekend and try it without and see if it makes adifference. Just curious if anyone has an opinion (I know they are rare around here
