New truck Issue

Another update, after the third time the dealership gave me false information I reached out to my contacts in the auto group. Our liaison with General Motors in Arlington TX can see any vin number on the UPRR system and mine was no where on the UPRR system. He reached out to a Chrysler contact who found the truck, it's sitting in a yard in NS RR territory waiting to be loaded. Damn salesman lied about delivery again and believe me he knows I know and so does his boss and that guys boss. I don't care about the time it takes just be honest about any updates. Not sure when the truck will arrive, maybe by the end of the month unless I find one I like sitting at another dealer.

The race is on. Which will happen first I get my truck I ordered or another one shows up on a dealers lot? I am already searching the net for one with the options I want and a color I like.

Just ask them to print the shipping info. It updates daily and is found in their "view inventory" section of Sales on DealerConnect. It gives the current status, then the next status for the following day. If the status does not change it just changes the dates every day, so you salesperson may have been correct for the day you asked. It takes two minutes to print, so just have it printed and then you don't have to argue with anyone.

sag2,

The truck has been released from the assembly plant since Mar. 24th with no explanation why it has not shipped. I can't get anyone to tell me when it will ship, my contact who spoke with the Chrysler individual was told it is sitting waiting to be shipped. I have even spoke with the general sales manager about it, you'd think someone could tell me something. Customer Care is worthless a chimp could do their job, they say they have no access to the information I ask for. I do have the document that shows what the price is, my price and employees price it also has a breakdown of the options and that sheet shows an estimated ship date of 3/19/2014 which is the actual date it was built. I am going to call my GM contact Monday and see if he can get me any more information.

Stop trying to go to everyone but the dealer. The info looks like this, and your dealer can print it in a couple of seconds. I do not believe you will find anyone that can find exactly where or why the truck is sitting at a particular place.

Dude, be strong.
There's a 100 other guys in your shoes all across the Internet *****ing about their trucks being delayed and unable to ID a reason that makes any sense. My truck has been in "final inspection" for a week now. That doesn't make any sense, but there's no use me fighting for details that I can't really do anything with anyway. Which is more likely, the salesman personally hates you and is therefore lying, he or finds success routinely lying to customers...... vs. it's a big clumsy bureaucracy that is no more efficient at moving information than any other bureaucracy?

Google Hanlon's razor. That's what is going on. Stay frosty.

So, after hammering these clowns on a page I found on Facebook called Chrysler Communications and how I found it funny that it took someone in General Motors to locate the truck I ordered. I got a call from a guy with Chrysler in Michigan. He tells me that my truck was moved to some storage yard waiting for shipment. He continued to say he did not know why it is still there, got the usual excuses and b.s of course. I told him I did not care about the reasons why, just get the truck moving it has been sitting for 16 days. I also told him about the run around and false information I have received from not only the dealer but customer service as well and that I am tired of it. I am calling him back this morning for an update.

Mine's been sitting in "Final Inspection" for 21 days now. Not Body Vender to get parts installed, not Staged for Shipping. That's a lot of inspecting. I called the dealer a couple days ago and talked to the GM. He they called their Chrysler rep who promised to look into it. Disfunctional bureaucracies make me crazy.

You can reach $50k easily depending on the trim level and options, the Lone Star I ordered is close to $47k. I Won't pay anywhere near that price though, the diesel is a $2800 upgrade over the Hemi engine.

A person could get MSRPs over $50k on the upper trims, but the discounts on the upper trims are pretty steep so the real price is a lot lower. If I'd have understood that better when I ordered my truck I'd have gone up a trim level or two. I got ~$4k off of a heavily optioned Big Horn but the Laramie buyers were getting $7k off. I want to swap the cloth seats in the Big Horn out for leather. Once I do that I'll have eaten up the difference in cost between Big Horn and Laramie.

Blame the United Auto Workers Union ,All they care about is there beer at lunch and smoking pot between beers .

I have one on order and should get it in March.
Got mine Mar 8 2015. I now have 3400km on it. Drives and handles great. Average 9.4iiters/100km
