Solidsteel track bar upgrade

Sounds like a good idea I have noticed a little play in my stearing looks like a good fix . My truck had a frount hitch on it when i bought it i will probly have to take it off for the DSS ? Where can you get the 03 track bar ?

Installed mine the other day had to do just a little grinding and it fit just fine and what a differance it made.

You better watch out for Rip. He's in real tight with the Canadians. But then he don't read a tape in the "metric" style. Really though, Darin's product is first class. I've got the steering stabilizer and might as well change the track bar. The one from NAPA is shot. And no. I don't want another one.



Keep us posted if you get 300 folks to buy one. I"ll get one for sure.

Well I have to day that Darin is one heck of a nice guy. I just installed his track bar on my truck and with my lift my axle is pushed over by more than an inch. I let him no of the problem and he told me he would pay for the bracket, the bar and my labor. In addition, he has offered to let me keep the bar and bracket and have someone weld in an extension in the bar and he wants to pay for that as well. You can't ask for better customer service than that. I think I will weld in an extension, but I don't think I am going to have Darin pay for all this, it was a very generous offer though.

I installed the bracket and 03 trackbar on Tuesday and I really like this setup better than the stock system. I had a few questions on how to get the bracket to fit so I called the folks at solidsteel. biz and they talked me through the process. It seems you need to start the middle bolt first and then do the ends as the bracket kind of goes in at an angle and gets pulled into place by the bolts. The only real problem I had was connecting the frame side of the trackbar to the bracket. I could not get the trackbar bushing to line up with the bracket holes. So I finally just banged the bolt in to place. I am glad I did not mess up the threads.

BTW, several months ago somebody found a replacement 03 trackbar at some online parts store and I can't remember where or for how much. Just wondering if anybody knows about it or what the best price is?

I'm also interested in a group purchase for both the DSS and track bar bracket. Mopar4less can set you up with a 3rd gen trackbar for under 2 bills.

I was able to order an 03 track bar from the Anchorage Dodge dealer for $194 delivered.
