Well that sucks Michael! How are we gonna have SOP without our Getrag/Spicer expert??!!



Well to all those getrag experts or anyone else, I (we) will be needing a set of snap-ring pliers that will open/close the style of snap ring in our getrags that has no eye/opening, whatever it's called. I should have everything else required, driver races and driver pipe, etc. Just need that odd ball snap ring plier.



We're looking to arrive no later than 4pm Friday. Save my tent spot!



Oh and Philip you might let everyone know where abouts the campfire will be so they don't set up their tents too close.

Despite my best efforts

I've remained silent on my participation guys, but its our Thanksgiving this weekend and have to many family commitments that I could not get out of.



I was really really hoping that I could have juggled everything but no such luck. It would be great to meet and put faces to names (and post names) That new alarm clock had me fired up, hope it does the trick.



Hope everyone has a safe drive to SOP and a safe ride back home.

Well as of about 4:00 this afternoon (thursday) the truck is rolling under it's own power with the new nv4500. I'm gonn put some miles on it tomarrow and if everything still works I'll be commin down. Not sure if I'll be there later friday night or saturday morning yet but hopefully I'll be there anyway.

Well, I'm all packed, ready to go. (I almost forgot the spare!) I just gotta get the coffee pot set up! The wife told me last nite she wasn't coming! Don't give me enough time to find a girlfriend, nooo. So I begged and whined and pleaded, :-{} and she said yes. I need somebody to talk to on the trip!

cant wait to get out there, only like 4hrs according to map quest so more like 3 and a quarter, i read earlier about some food being brought, something i should bring?, i'll be pulling, rebuilding, upgrading the 60 right before leaving, tomarrow should be a fun day, also anybody got a good '9x-'93 grille they would want to part with? mine is all busted up now and would like to get one if ne one has a couple

The truck is loaded, full of fuel, the gooey butter cake is delecious, and I'm ready. As soon as I get out of work, I'm gone.



Michael, I know how much you looked foward to this, but I wish ya the best with the farm. The more I go to work in the city everyday, the more and more I want to get out to the farm.

sorry guys i'm not going to make it, was working on the truck all night and the big mud bogs around here are tomarrow and sunday so i dident get much help workin on my truck as they were finishing a bbc and trans for the mudder but i'll make it next year i'll make sure of it, have fun and be safe

I made it home! 9. 5 hours. It took about 10. 5 to get there. Stupid slow fast food places!

I couldn't figger fuel mileage, the guy at the truck stop on the register must be from Cape Girardeau, probably caught a ride up with DP. I had to go prepay, and the moron only put $75 worth on the pump! I was so hot when it cut off, the wife said let's just go! #@$%!

Then in Ohio, I was going to top off at the last cheap spot before Pa, and that pump cut off at $50! Both times the rear tank was short! :{ I just said heck with it!

On the bright side, I didn't spray fuel on anybodys truck on I-90! :-laf



I forgot about pics, the wife took some though, I'll get them up in a day or so.



Thanks to Jeremy, Michele and Philip! We had a great time!

It was good seeing everybody again, and meeting the new guys. Hope everyone gets home ok.

Like the others who have posted today, I also made it home without incident. I enjoyed meeting everyone and putting faces to names. I also enjoyed being able to visit some old friends from my days stationed down the road at Grissom AFB.
