All right boys, its been a few days since everybody got home, and rested. Where in the heck are the pictures of the "eye candy"(trucks and girls of course)??? What about some stories?? Did anybody get a 3am governor spring check alarm clock, or was it courtusy of a big gun? I suppose that the black top road in front of Jeremy's has some new marks on it. How is Jeremy and Michelle's little one doing, out in the mess of everything just like Dad? C'mon, I get a late night fireside message on my phone from Chris and hear my own voicemail message on Bill's phone, but no news? I'm jones'in for a SOP report(foot tapping impatiently).

I was able to get my soybeans harvested on Saturday, changed the combine over to corn on Sunday and was able to get the corn in the bin Sunday night. Now it has to be moved to the elevator with the highest bid over the next few weekends. Then paying off loans, and hopefully getting a loan to get our own house. Oo. Of course Dad is still harvesting, as is the in/out-laws.

Michael

Michael, First off, I would like to apologize for the late night phone frenzy, I'm not sure if it was too many brownies with Reeses peanut-butter cups, some of that famous chili, that delicious potato soup (did I mention how tasty it was?) or most unlikely too many cold beers.

I think that maybe Bill and I were still pumped up from the 'syncro-races. ' You sure missed out buddy, after we assembled both of them in record time, we were forced to figure out a new way to assemble the 3-4, 5-R syncros. While trying to "press" one of the bearings on the back side, the syncro that we already installed next the the pocket bearing came apart. I was a little nervous that we were going to spend the whole day trying to get those back together, but the 'ol Getrag engineers must of been smilin' upon us.

It was a great time, was a little hot (I think that everyone knows that I like working in the shade now) and it was nice to put some more faces with names. Thanks again to those that made it happen.

I got about the closest thing to a group shot that I could, and didn't even know it until I got home.

All right Michael I kept you waiting long enough. :-laf:-laf

The first two pic's are Bill's getrag class. :D

The 3rd one is DP's flatbed getting ready for its new home. :-laf

The 2nd one is me and TWorline under the hood of my truck after it got antisocial agin this year. Last year was the passenger side door latch sticking. This year I lost the charging system on a parts run. :{

The 3rd one is MEby under the hood of his correctly powered 98. It has a

1st gen engine instead of something with to many valves. :-laf :-laf

This last pic is one of CShafer's truck.

We didn't do a line up this year as normal. We had a few trucks in varies stages of reassembly at the time we normaly had the line up. The ones not apart at that time had the owners elbow deep in getting the others back together. Thats why I don't have full pic's of everyones truck out by itself.

Daryl I didn't get a pic of your truck. I am sorry. If you send me a pic of it I will get it on here.

There was also a local person that came in a white dually. I didn't get a pic of his truck eather.

I have been normaly posting the dates after the Diesel Nats in Indy in June. If I post much earlyer the thread will take all the server space up. :D

hey pete, I finally got around to fixing some stuff on my truck. Like disconnecting the unused cable from my battery hanging out the bottom of my truck and got some parts on order to fix some of the other stuff like the battery hold down clamp etc. Oo. \

I am diffinately going with a mechanical fuel pressure gauge, thanks for the info and idea's.

I've looked at the pics about 20 times now, and get a little tear in my eye, knowing I missed out on seeing my brothers. :{ I hope that next year I'll get to make the trip out and meet up with everybody. I also hope that in a few years, I can get a place setup to host an event like this out here in Iowa. It would be in the spring or early summer, just so we could make it to SOP in the fall.

Philip, did you get any pics of the young'in? My little girl is growing up so fast, I like to try and keep track of my friends kids too. Just wondering how Jeremy and Michelle's little on is doing.

Michael

Michael I didn't get any pic's of Paul. But those are easy to take. "D

He is up and moving under his own power. When he feels like it. Still kind of shakey on uneven surfaces.

Glad I could help Matt. If you need anything, let me know! ;)

Did you hook up with Mike for a gauge?

no, I havent heard from him yet and I needed to do something so I went with summit racing. Got a 15psi mechanical gauge made autometer to match my egt and boost gauge. (Z series) Also got some braided stainless fuel line to run to it. Still need to get a needle valve. ordered a tapped banjo bolt from genos along with some front shocks that were overdue to be replaced.
