Who saw the Lawnmower racing special on Discovery Channel?

Jeep Quadratrac Conversion

Does anyone know where I can get sound clips of Cummins, Dodge or otherwise? And If some one could explain to me how to put them and pictures together for a screen saver?

thanks, Steve

I have one here at work of an ISB starting and idling. Lasts 15-20 seconds I think. Let me know your email and I'll send it to you.

I have a 48kHz, 16-bit stereo audio clip from the beginning of "Terminator 2 - Judgement Day". It's from that sweet '91 Freightliner starting up... . no idea what it had for an engine, but I like to think that it's a Cummins. :D

I used that clip in a DVD project for a fellow TDR member.

Thanks guys, I found some good clips from Jannetty Racing, about six, I really like the exhaust brake one. I still don't know how to transfer all of this to a screen saver? Help please.

Thanks, Steve

You'll need to get really good with Macromedia Flash or something like that to make a screen saver... ... or find a program that'll do a slide show for you with user selectable predetermined picture files. Getting the audio to work might be a challenge with that sort of setup.....

But - you can do cool stuff with sound clips alone. For example, I have that T2 diesel sound clip activated to go off every time I get a new email... .

For Windows OS's from Win95 and upwards.....

Hit 'Start'

Highlight 'Settings'

Go to the 'Control Panel'

Double click on 'Sounds and Multimedia'

The "Sounds and Multimedia Properties" dialog box will now be open. This is the nerve center for linking audio clips to 'system events'.

Now that you have this dialog box open - scroll down and highlight the 'system event' sound that you want to modify. You can then click on 'browse' and find that spiffy new audio file that you wanted so badly. After you have found it... . double click it and then click 'apply' on the "Sounds and Multimedia Properties" dialog box.

Right next to the 'browse' button there is a little triangle button - that allows you to preview the file that is associated with the system event

This should work like a charm. - Sorry Mac users!

Thanks, I put the ISB start for Windows start, but what stinks is them audio clips from Jannettys is on Windows Media player so It won't work for tha same thing(as far as I know)

Tim: You're an evil man!

Windows might only like to use . wav files for 'system events'... . I've never tried anything different.

Anyone notice that the ISB start sound file is from a manual transmission truck? :D
