Competition The Ultimate Diesel Drag Racing Engine

Competition NHRDA, Fletcher wins again!

This Saturday, May 21, at the Perry County Gun Club is the New Lexington FFA and Alumni pull. This is a small pull that is almost completely run by the high school FFA members with the help of a few alumni members and myself. Tractors start at 1 pm and trucks start at 5pm.

Truck Classes: 5800 lb stock

6000 lb cheater stock

6500 Pro Street Gas

7200 lb diesel

7500 lb cheater stock diesel

8000 lb open

Other pull dates are June 25, July 30 (at the Perry County Fairgrounds), September 17, and October 1. I believe the July 30 pull is actually July 31, Sunday morning.

For more info, call 740-342-PULL, Pat Smith at 740-342-1831, or you can PM me or email me at -- email address removed --. For rules, check the website http://hspanthers.nlcs.k12.oh.us/nlhs/ffa/truckrules.html

Even though this isn't a big points pull or anything, it is still a good time. It is a great opportunity to come try out a new setup for this year or refresh your skills for this season. Even if you just come to watch, you'll have a good time. The weather for this weekend looks good and the Gun Club is easily accessible from State Route 13. Please come out and enjoy yourself and more importantly, support a good group of kids with a good cause.

Can you put up some directions from 13 for everybody. We come to most of them but I take backroads and cant think of the road that you take from 13.

Chuck,

I know if you are heading south on St Rt 13 from Somerset, going towards New Lexington, its about 5-7 miles out of Somerset. There is a golf course (Perry Country Club) on the right side, and directly past the golf course is the road on the left. It is a small county dirt road. The paved road on the right is Green Branch Road, but you want to turn left off of 13. After the golf course, if you go around several bends in the road, you went too far. The Gun Club entrance is on the left side, and you need to go slow because it comes up very quickly. I have been there a thousand times and it still gets me. Call me at 740-607-1034 if this is unclear to you.

JDailey, that was one of the points that I was trying to make. It is a group of kids and they don't make a lot of money. It is a brush pull for fun. For the FFA, it makes them a little money to help fund themselves. If it makes a difference, the sled was painted over the winter.

Sleddy, dont know who Vanessa is, but if she sounds hot, maybe I should find out.

John

New paint makes it all better! I believe this is the sled that one of your fellow buckeyes made a big stink about? Something about Dave Mitchell's kind of sled... and Yea gene... . I think something zombies!

Yeah, that would be the sled, and that would be one of my fellow buckeyes. It must not suit Dave too much because I don't believe that he has been out there in quite some time.

Don't they use an old POS tank sled there??

You mean a real sled

Sleddy you have it back wards PLOW SLEDS/DROP PANS whatever are the fake ones.

This is a real sled you better leave ol' South bend In the garage. not sure how it would do pulling weight 100% of the way down the track except for just the last few feet

And I dont know why you keep talking about zombies ??

Gun Club pull was cancelled for today. I wasn't sure what they were thinking until I stood on the track and sank. But then again, we did get a couple of inches of rain Thursday night. They are trying to make it up.

Glenford pulls are June 11, July 9, August 13, and September 17. They are going to start the antiques at 11am, and the good stuff should start around 6 or so.
