speedo problem

My sons 92 speedometer quite working need bouth parts at transfer case,truck is a 5 speed, any help would be great thanks Mike

First, take it apart and find out what failed. If it all pooped at once, fine, but it seems a strange coincidence. Usually, it's the gear on the output shaft that strips, or the reducer/ adaptor between the t-case and speed sensor. Could be as simple as a wiring issue, too.

Mine quit working on my 92 years ago, I've replaced both parts on the transmission, and have also taken apart the gauges themselves. Get intermittent bouncing of the speedo, highly suspect wiring issues. Hasn't really been a priority since buying the 06. Truck still hasn't broken 171K.

I have puled it apart the problem is that the square cable and corresponding gear have rounded
