Competition Haisley's Comp Puller Question?

Competition F350 duallie vs 2500

It seems I had some spooling problems the last time I was on the dyno in the 2600-3000 RPM range. It's either from the stock 370's or the stock 215 pump. Maybe you can help me decide!

I did fix one issue since then and it seems to be better... . more power and crisp :)

611/1144

791/who knows

The combo has a grand in it(with my EDM injectors) and I'd say 850 as it sits. Scary to think 370's will support that much power with a single.

I don't know were the #2 power is at right now but it's much better than the 611 on that dyno as that was at 40 psi and no water (it didn't work)..... say 630 area!

The T/Q number is totally different that I've ever had and it loads the suspension different on the truck too, shame it's so late in the year as I need to to go make some runs at the track.

Jim

He had mentioned he had thought about it before.....

I'm not trying to pry... . I'm just wondering what the set-up is... .

I've gathered SPS 66, worked over pump, and 370's.

From 611 to 791... what changed?

Yes guys the total package changed from anything in the past. The current setup is a stock 215 pump that I bought from a friend used that has had a tiny tweak from I. I. , bone stock 370's that I have had for a long time, and the same SPS 66 that I bought 2 years ago. That is the 611 number with a story, someone decided that he need to change his pump Governor phasing and caused issues that I took to the dyno as I had the slot and it was free. That change cost me 7 psi of boost on fuel. I turned the water pump pressure down and that along with the fueling issues is why it only made a 7 hp gain with water/N2O mix that you don't see (797 hp) The 181 hp gain is another story, it seems that I have friends that have parts. One had a entry level N2O kit from NX called the (stacker kit... . 063 solenoid with no jet) and he gave it to me. So I thought cool it might be worth the 50-75 hp gain that they said it would be, I installed it and gained the 181 hp. Who knows what's in the future but I sure like it allot better now. Much more responsive, allot less trouble and runs better. On the dyno runs I had the juice coming on at 30 psi but it was too late, so I changed it down to 20... ... much better. A controller and another stage may be in the future but it will be pieced together... ... . money is better spent elsewere.

Jim

Hmmm... .

Lets see here. . 797 with drugs, take 7 away for the meth and the remove 181 for the giggle gas and your left with 609 on a "stock" 215 pump and 370's.

Jim. .

Now I'd not want to say it can't be done,609hp on a stock pump, but I guess its a call it like I see it deal. Since we all know there have been some very respectable numbers laid down over the years with a 215 pump modified and 370's one would ask themselves this... Self, how did he make all that power on a stock 215 pump and 370's knowing there is no way to get the needed fuel to make such power?.

Must be a left coast power deal again and one of those I did it not in front of everyone and done at a remote location so no one could see how I actually attained the numbers game. I'll say this, your beginning to play better dyno games than Donnelly did.

Impress us all,lay those down at a event where they can not be disputed... ..... Andy

Jim you are welcome to come all the way up here to MN if you'd like. The 21st of October we have our Annual dyno day!

Sounds like someone is a little Jealous.

I'd be more than willing to go dyno anywere. I wanted to go down to Austin Texas at the end of the month but work will not let me, you know work, that place that has had me deployed 99 of the last 137 days.

As for the numbers I guess someone needs to get busy learning how to tune, but then again I've been playing with this truck for 5 years now.

Jim

I don't think any of it comes down to jealousy. Just seems way off from what anyone has ever seen. You say a "stock 215 pump" and 370's Stock is stock, once modified at all it is not stock. So, if someone were to change your pump out with a fresh out of the box unmolested 215 pump, you will still dyno the same numbers? In other words, is the pump stock, or stock looking? :-laf

Sounds like someone is a little Jealous.

Nope, not one once of jealousy in my small frame and stature. However,I have tired of all the lofty claims made by owners and vendors on their numbers. I guess it comes back to me just needing to double up on my happy pills and chillin a while.

While we all here certainly will never dispute your service to our country and never ever question you on your loyalty to a job which most of do not do,each time your questioned you come up with this as a crutch. There are others who serve and DO get out to events so it can be done, except in your case where it never can.

As for the numbers I guess someone needs to get busy learning how to tune, but then again I've been playing with this truck for 5 years now.

Yep,you are correct I need to learn how to tune,  ,I guess it has come down to that. The shop who has done the work on my truck must be unable to wave the magic wand over the motor to attain the numbers you have and they certainly must be off in their tuning capabilities. I mean,if YOU can lay down over 600 on a stock 215 pump with 370's,maybe we all need to have our respective shops come to you for tuning assistence. Since your questioning my tuning capabilities and not theirs here I guess your correct,I need to get back to the books as somehwere I missed the class on fuel flow needed for power. With the recent changes in my truck I am very satisfied with its recent tune time and power made. It just amazes me that with such a low fuel supply you are abale to do what NOT ONE other diesel shop in the country has done, make 600hp on a stock pump. While we all here all know better you still attempt to show us you are way more knowledgable than Schieds,Haisley,Power By Poole,EEP,etc etc etc when it comes to tuning. Its time for you to cut the bull and think some before you attempt lame crap like this.

Again...

As we have offered to the great Joe D I will again do it here and using his idea and past comments about us out east here. .

Attend a event somewhere in front of others, somewhere you can back up the crap you attempting to pass off on us here. If your numbers are made by yourself and not on the same page as the rest, then they mean nothing and are just numbers... ... ... ... Andy

P. S. -Please by all means drive it out East,Since you are a serviceman I will make sure your dyno time is taken care of to ease your burden. As a matter of fact if its put to my club,They will all chip in to see the great 600hp stock 215 pump dyno.
