2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Sport Headlight Relay Toast

Hey gents I installed an suvlights.com Sport Headlight conversion for my 97 way back in 2007.

It's been running great until last night.

About two hours after parking and turning off my headlights the driver side low beam comes on.

Checked the function of the rest of the lights. Markers, high beams and passenger side low beam ALL work as normal. I assume I just have a bad relay.

My problem is that the old suvlight.com kits came with two relays molded in a box with a harness coming out and I was hoping to just replace it as a complete unit again.

For the life of me I can not find that relay box and suvlights.com in no more.

Does anyone happen to know of a replacement or maybe a part number??

Is there not a part number on the top of the relay

Yes inside the relay box are two LA-12FW relays with a six prong plug coming out of the box.

Yeah I have been seeing the relays all over the web but I was hoping to find the "unit" with the plug already wired to the relays so I could simply plug it into my already existing wire loom.

Honestly, as the son of an electrician, I am almost worthless when it comes to wiring them in and getting them to work as before. Even reverse engineering will not be an option because the relays are epoxied into the box and the wiring is deeply hidden.

Hopefully I did the picture upload right.

The relays are epoxied into the box but I will see if I can break the epoxy out to see the wiring.

I would take a hack saw and cut down the center between the two relays and then see if I could saw or cut around the edges as close as you can to the edges of each relay

Yes I got ahold of suvlights and he said the dbl relay unit would have to come from overseas and recommends and whole new harness. #@$%! Was not looking to purchase another harness if it could be helped.

I will start cutting and chipping tonight as soon as I get done changing out my noisy tensioner pulley.

So finally got around to putting in good relays. And that was not the fix.

Drivers side low beam stay on with the switch off. I have to pull the fuse when I get out of the truck just to turn the darn light off.

Was going to just switch to firefighter_2000's harness but it does not look like it will fix the problem.

Any ideas? Possible loose ground locations? Bad headlight switch? Any help or suggestions are appreciated. (Even the expensive ones.)

Factory service manual, it contains complete wire diagrams and will be the most used tool in your shop. I prefer the paper version.

My low beam stayed on last year. It was the headlight switch. A new replacement solved the issue.
