I bought the lights from ebay the euro sport lights. and harness from suvlights.com easy install no cutting due to my year of truck for the light buckets. this is also before picture of lights and after with lights. I still need to adjust the lights. also this was using the standard sylvania bulbs that came with the headlights.

conversion more pics

More pic's to add this shows were I put the neg-grounds from the harness at on both sides, and showing these lamps are sae-dot approved.

Looks good, I can't wait for my harness to arrive. Hopefully by the weekend. Do you think I'll have to drop the stock bumper to gain access?

Chris

dont know on the older ones. you can remove the top bumper plastic cover this will free up some room. the bumper it self you can loosn up 3 bolts on each side this move it as well

Nice pics!

Installing the sport headlight conversion was one of the best things I have done on my truck for sure! Oo.

Thanks. and listen everyone I wish I did this upgrade last year. very easy to do NIGHT AND DAY comparison. (no pun). very simple with the harness. even a rejected omish electrician like myself did it. will post pic's when I get the philips xtreme 9007 bulbs put in it. and others said they had issues of not enough wire on the harness. the harness's I had were plenty long and had extra.

I replaced the headlights on my truck last year, but didn't do the sports... ... ... . My bad. I will do it this summer, with the wiring.

Chris the lights came out and went in on my 98 without moving the bumper, just had to take the outer part off the brush guard.

sports headlights

Dieselwrks I've done everything but the phillips bulbs let me know how they work out. I love mine even with the stock bulbs that came in them. I agree with them being long enough, if any thing they were a little to long. Mine was a little harder to do then yours, I had to do some cutting on mine. Not really a big deal though.

133. 00 dollars from SUVlights and 214. 00 dollars for headlights. I could have bought the headlights cheaper, but I bought them locally where I could actually see them and know that they were good quality. I'm sure the ones on e-bay are fine, just wanted to make sure.

I ordered the phillips extreme 9007 thought they were good to go. go a email stating they are on back order I pulled and stopped the order, not in any hury so now that I dont have them coming to me no local shops carry phillips bulbs anyone know of what part stores that would carry them. I found the GE nighthawks for the 9004 that daniel sterns gave great comments about. they are 22. 00 a bulb here local.

DIESELWRKS,
if you don't mind sharing, where are your new light assemblies made in? It's nice they are DOT-SAE approved. I wonder if they are the same that the dealership sells. Where did you get them from? I am looking to do this modification myself to improve night driving visibility.
