My truck was used by a landscaper for most of it's life including snowplow duties. I am going to at least put a set of leveling front coils on but was curious how much the front and rear have sagged as I don't want the front to be higher than the back if I just go with the coils. As it sits now I am measuring 24. 5 inches from the axle center to the bottom of the fender in front and 27. 5 inches in the back. Does anyone have a measurement either stock or with a set of say d25 skyjacker coils. thanks.

not much help.... But

My front springs sagged way more and much sooner than the rear leafs.

All things being equal.

Not doubt your fronts have sagged.

How much have your rears sagged?

Thats the question.....

I would go for the leveling coils in a hearbeat.

Much better ride with new taller coils no matter how sacked out the rears are.

If the rear leaves have sagged you still have options. .

1) Add air bags (thats what I did first. )

2) Replace the rear springs with stock springs.

3) Replace the rear springs with aftermarket, and a matched set of coils. (thats what I ended up doing). .

P. S. I doubt you will find many TDR members with brand new stock springs in their rigs.

Most guys use the aftermarket leveling springs or have gone even taller.

Thanks for the reply Bob. I noticed that there were quite a few people that have installed the d25 springs hence my question on their final height. Just trying to skip as many unneccessary steps as possible. Without any idea of final ride height with just the springs I'll probably go with a steel spacer and some 33" s. Front and rears will have to wait until a few other items are taken care of.

Should be able to fit a 33" stock.

My truck was butt low with the spacers installed in the front.

I put an add a leaf that was supposed to give 1"... I got maybe 1/2" from it.

I ended up taking a piece of 1" steel stock and putting that ontop of the factory block. It's bolted into the spring pack.

I also have airbags.

I did try and find better stock springs from a wrecking yard but that didn't work out. They wanted around $300 a side.
