Houston Meeting

SETDR - when/where?

I was thinking this morning about our last meeting. Enjoyed it alot, also was for a good cause. Recieved a certificate 2 days ago from the Land of Giants Truck Club thanking us for our support of the St. Judes Children's fundraiser. Good work, guys/gals!How about scheduling a meeting for the weekend of March 10th/11th?Give me your feedback on this. Steve Weeks

Steve,
This sounds like a good idea to me. Gives me a couple of weekends to get my poor old worn out Cummins powered Ram back together #ad
#ad

Also, we have a new guy for our group. His handle is Bowhunter,Alias Kurt. He lives up near Troy. Met him yesterday, and he can attest to how worn out my truck really is #ad

David; You're right, I've got a bad case of cabin fever! This seems like as good a way as any to deal with it. Besides, still have to pay off my bet to Mark(tired of oweing him!) You are right also regarding the 11th. Just remember, it's alright to show up late guys(once again,as most of you know,I'm the recent voice of experience on this. )Maybe late April, it'll be warm enough to hit the great outdoors again. Lets pick another buffet place,as we seem to enjoy eating. Steve W.

Steve, I was wondering if you (or myself) should email Mike to send a notice about this post? Last time I posted the intent to set a date and time I sent emails to quite a few people to look at the post and decide if they wanted to post their thoughts/wants/needs as they saw fit. I did notice that not too long after the emails were sent the posting picked up. Just an idea.

David

Hi guys, That weekend won't work for me as I will be in Springfield Mo. Maybe a week sooner or later, just a thought. I personally prefer Sat. rather than Sun. unless the majority can't attend on Sat. for work or whatever reason. I have had to work Sat. before so I understand. Shannon

Steve, What is this? You aren't getting cabin fever are you? #ad
I was going to wait until the first week in March to post an intent to organize another gathering, but this is just as good. I do know a lot of the guys/gals are expecting a gathering in April. There is nothing saying we cannot have a meeting in March and April both #ad
As far as I know I would not have a problem with either day. Will see how the posts go and see which day works out to be the winner. If we stick to switching Saturdays and Sundays this meeting would be on the 11th. Anyone have an ideas for the place/event to meet this time around?

I can make that weekend or most others for that matter. as Shannon, saturdays are my preference. Oh ya, Hi My name is Todd Thorp and I live in Bunker Hill, IL north of David.

Hi Todd. welcome to our crazy little world #ad

Steve I don't know if the weekend of the 10th and 11th will work for me, as I don't think I will have my poor old worn out Ram back together yet. The next weekend would be better for me
Don

Hey guys! I can come any weekend of the 3rd (grand-daughters' 7th birthday party and I made her this Walnut doll cradle) so just let me know. I would imagine that all of us are getting cabin fever. I don't think spring is ever going to get here. Steve, that was nice of Land of Giants to send a certificate of recognition. See ya'll soon!

Guys, lets do a sunday gathering this time on March 18th. I know some prefer saturdays but we'll rotate them. Don, what are you doing to that green beauty? We better not hear a gasser when you pull in!Good to hear from everybody. Steve W. #ad

Where are you thinking of having it this time?

Would it be alright with the members to have the meeting on the 17th rather than the 18th?I've gotten some feedback that saturdays tend to work better. My apologies for any confusion but we want those going to the meetings to have the decision on this. Thanks mucho. Steve W.

I personally do not have a preference between Saturday or Sunday meetings, so let the majority rule. I wish the weather was a little warmer so we could go back to the park, but I don't think that is an option at this time unless a lot of people want to try. The weekend of the 17/18 is ok with my schedule at this time.
David

Any day for me is fine or whatever day Steve would have the most money on him to pay me. LOL My weather man just told me for that particular weekend, low to mid 60's, sunny and clear. He said, "don't change your plans for outside activities"! Yea right!

bad weekend for me n the 10th and 11th. GETTIN' MARRIED --- Don't yell at me. I can be there for the 17th or the 18th. Works well either day. Later guys. . B. J.

Howdy,

I don't keep up with TDR as much as I'd like - missed your last gathering by signing on one day after it happened. Just my luck, I'm headed for New Mexico the weekend of March 17/18.

Have a good-n, maybe I'll be able to catch the next one. GeoVeo from Rolla, MO

Congradulations, B J, on your impending loss of single life! I hope all works out well for you and your bride. Hope to see you on the 17th if and when we get together and pick a place to meet.
David

Let's put this in stone so folks can start planning. Reserve your calendars on Saturday, March 17th. It seems time for President Kenny to guide us in his wisdom to our meeting place on that date. What say ye, President-select Kenny? Remember, inside, good/lots of food, plenty of parking and willing to have us for the larger part of the day. Should probably stay within Missouri or Illinois. Guide us, o' fearless leader! We await your decision! Steve W.
