Houston Meeting

SETDR - when/where?

How many would want to chance it and meet at Township Park in Edwardsville? We have no way of knowing what the weather will be like but it usually is somewhat warmer by then. Just a suggestion since there has not been any place set yet. Let's get some ideas flowing here so everyone will have time to plan what we are going to do/see at the gathering of the Diesel Trucks. (hope to see you there Chris along with some friends)

Sounds good to me Dave. Just let me know what time and some directions to the location. God, I hope I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to get there

hi guys, kenny your faithful president here. I think that the park is a good idea. Dad and I will be there, is this the park we were at the first time we met? If not we will need directions, i think we will need directions anyway(for dad's sake). #ad

El Presidente has spoken. (I was getting worried you'd been impeached. Then I remembered there was no election. )Good call, Kenny. Same park, same location. Don't let your dad sniff too much propane and you'll get there just fine. Still wondering about the"surprise" regarding your truck,Don. Look forward to seeing everybody there. Steve W. #ad

Hi all-

I'm anxious to meet everyone. The 17th or 18th will work.

I finally found the STL TDR posts, in between dodging raindrops while trying to put in new rear axle seals. Hopefully the weather will let up so that I can have normal brakes again.

By the way, I've seen Big DQ's surprise... . and its all good. The only thing wore out on his truck is the back tires.

Now that the PRESIDENT has spoken then I must attend. Looking forward to seeing the "rumbler" Don. Hopefully I'll have my bed tank installed, gauges and transmission mods for pulling our 5er. Since I wasn't at the first meeting I'll need a few directions. I e-mailed a guy from Pineville MO. and hope he is able to make it. See you guys in a couple weeks.

Since the meeting place has been set what about the time? We have not discussed the time factor. As in the past I will be there as early as 8:00am to ensure the spot. I am also going to try and bring my gas grille so we can have some good food. I will bring some pork steaks or whatever. It may not be enough to feed everyone but will put a dent in some of the fixings. How about all of you just bring what you may want to grille along with a few other things like chips and dip, vegetables, soda, water, etc. See you all there. I am really looking forward to the BIGGEST bunch yet.

David

If anyone wants directions email me and let me know what major highway you will be travelling on to get near Edwardsville and I will try to set you straight.

So the big question in my house is..... are any wives ofter then mine thinking about coming?

Hope to see everyone there!!

I will send out an eMail with the final date and time to the list.

Dave, I can bring a grill and some extra meat, since im close to the park too. 17th is good and i'll get there early to give you some company. as for wifes, they are optional however, the truck ride is more balanced if she's with. LOL

just whatever you all decide.

Hi all. I received an email from Chris and he is not going to make it to this event. He will be out of town. I'm going to miss seeing him and the Ford there. We will see him next time. By the way, I think all should post to see what the count is going to be (the ones that have not as of now). See you all on the 17th!

Hi all, I will be there on time, at the park, with some food and drink. My ETA will be approx. 9:00 am. My wife does not like the real truck ride this first gen. offers, so I will be traveling by myself.

Ok, it looks like we will have 10 trucks and 13-14 bodies coming. I am a little disappointed to not get more trucks there, but it still is a good turnout. Maybe some more will sign on and get the count up some. Don't mind me I am just getting a little bored. Have not heard much from you Mark. Still not visiting the site much these days? See you all in a couple of weeks.

David

I can't guarantee that I will be there, long way to go, live in Joplin, MO. But it is on my calander, will try to be there, good weather would be a plus. !!!

Hi all. I just wanted to get this back to the top and see if there are any more in the Illinois/Missouri area that may be thinking about coming. There are some that come from the Western part of Missouri and from the Eastern part of Kansas. All of you looking but not posting get on board and have a great time. All the people attending in the past have had a great time. You could come by this time and see if there are a few from your area that may want to get something going on your own or keep coming to the St. Louis area. It is always nice to see new faces and find out what you have done to your truck or what plans you may have for the future. Come on by and make some new friends.
David

With the lull in the posting I would like to see a quick post of everone coming so I can make an effort to get at least one pork steak for everyone. If you don't like pork steaks then you can bring something you like for the grill. Everone can bring something, chips, dip, salad, soda, dessert, whatever. We have been known to eat a lot in the past. I also will bring some plates, knives, forks, spoons. It may not be enough for everyone so all could bring a couple of there own. see you soon!
David

Todd, you can bring a grill along if you want. We may need it! I was just trying to bring a goodwill gesture in the pork steaks since I don't have too far to travel. See al of you soon!

David
