Starting Issue

I have a 2011 3500 MC 4x4 and have been having starting problems after the truck sits(usually overnight). After the dash lights do their thing i turn the key to start and get a mutiple of clicks as i hold the key in the start position. The first time this happened i thought i had left something on so i charged the batts up for a bit and it fired up. The second day it did the same thing, but this time i just held the key in frustration and after 5+ clicks it started! Ive been dealing with this almost every morning for about a month now. Brought to the dealer and they did a ecm update. This worked for a couple of days and now its doing it again. I have cleaned all battery terminals and ground areas, and removed the Edge juice with Attitude and sent to Edge... they checked it all out(tested ok) and supplied a new harness upon returning it to me. I dont want to reinstall until this starting problem gets sorted... . any ideas?

Have your Batteries load tested sound's like you have 1 going Dead

Thanks, dropped at Glendale Dodge today with a list of issues to be tackled... Im near Dependable Dodge but the service manager doesnt like my lifted truck! I guess a 1 year old battery could be faulty? Whats strange to me is it somehow finds the power to kick over after it tries so many times. I would think if its that low to start with, kicking it over would just drain them more.

Did they check your key and its contacts? Also... . ditch the edge! they arent makin em anymore for a reason and its not what they say the reason is! H&S tuners way to go...

Thanks guys, still awaiting call back from the dealer... LNaugle, didnt think about the key, that sounds like a possibility, just had a new one programed and will start to use it when i get the truck back, thanks. I think im going to sell the Edge... kinda quirky from the get go. Ill look into the H&S... .

Simplysmn, Had them load test batteries, one has now been dealer replaced! Thanks!

On my 08 I had the factory batteries lasted about a yr n 1/2 that's why I said Batteries First Good thing is I have my own Battery Tester that I carry with me have helped several people out with dead Batteries .
