I'm looking for another clean '01-'02 to start fresh with. I would like to build the truck with the following mods just like my current '01 has:

Intake
Injectors
Turbo
Stage 4 trans with billet input/output
Exhaust
Edge Drag Comp
Gages (trans temp, EGT, boost, FP)
Fuel system

I would like to have one shop do it all, someone who does nice clean work. I have a DTT trans in mine and I know they are out of business....so what are my options nowadays? Does ATS in Colorado do good work?

One of my challenges is that I'm in CA so I can't have any flashy looking turbos or anything else that won't pass visual inspection. The AFE stage 2 intake I currently have passes the visual test, so I would have to install the same intake on the new truck. The Edge Drag Comp is easily removed without detection, so a large screen programmer display on the dash isn't an option. Do they still take the "Mach" injectors for the trucks?

Does anyone have any shop recommendations in the Western US? Could be in AZ, NV, CO, CA, or worst case I ship the truck wherever if I have to.

Question - is a leather interior conversion available? I have leather in my current '01 and most trucks I'm looking to buy have the cloth interior. Is it possible to convert to leather and if yes how difficult?

Does anyone have a clean '01-'02 for sale? I'm looking for a 4x4 extra cab shortbed Auto

Thanks in advance for your feedback

While researching shops I ran across Source Automotive in OR. Supposedly they build great transmissions. Does anyone have any experience with getting any work done at Source Automotive?

I remember buying an exhaust system from them years ago, but wondering about their transmissions now.

I'm in SoCal, as well. I drove my 98.5 to ATS outside Denver in 2004 to have them do similar upgrades that you mention... I'm still driving my 98.5 and have been very happy with all the work ATS did for me. Bellflower transmission maintains my ATS Stage V upgraded trans. I tow heavy / at-the-limit - flat-tow 1995 XJ with a 2006 SixPac D850 truck camper - so I have since replaced my performance injectors with stock bosch reman. ones due to high EGTs. The ATS torque pro propane injection system never worked for me, so I remove it, as well.
