I installed an air tank and electric compressor (Double Shot) which I purchased from Summit Racing today. I wanted to control my air bags from the cab as well as onboard air for toys. Anyway, it was working fine directly from the battery so I wired it into the 20 amp fused cigar fuse. As this circuit requires the ignition on in either start or acessory, I switched between the two. Naturally the instrument lites and buzers were going off. It took a couple of minutes but the pump soon shut off. I had precharged the tank with my other compressor.
After the pump shut off, I returned the ignition switch to OFF. Couple minutes later, I decided to start the truck (had not started truck at all today). No bells, buzers, starter, nada. Headlites, dome lite, etc all still work. Starter makes no noise and have no instrument indicators of any type.
I am unable to find any blown fuses. Is there a fusible link somewhere? This pump pulls 20 plus amps but I probably ran it 5-7 minutes total. I had no problems until I tied into the 20 amp cigar circuit.
Any ideas? I am going to check for codes tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
