State smog emissions?
PLandon, Regarding Diesel Performance Center, they "removed & calibrated" my pump on 8/12/99, at a cost of $310. 00. IMO it made quite a difference. I had Bell Dodge and Chuck's Speed Center both "turn-up" the pump. Each time it made a small difference. But, "calibrating" it made a BIG difference. Lot's more smoke and if you have an auto-trans, you may have to adjust the throttle positioning sensor, like I did. I was told "calibrating" requires taking the pump off, putting it on a machine that balances the flow of fuel to each of the cylinders. I'm no mechanic but, whatever they did worked great for me. I just called Southwest Diesel and Elec. , here in Phoenix, 602-269-2471 (Dave), and they have a 16 sqcm. turbo housing for $150. 00 plus $5. 00 for a gasket. That's about what I paid back in 1999 for mine. That turbo housing made alot of difference, also. There are a lot of different ways to make these things run better. This is some of what I did & I'm happy. Hope this helps. By the way, I'd be happy to talk to you. Joe Fihn, 602-978-3111.
