Steering has been getting loose. Adjusted trac bar
#ad
and eliminated about half but it still needs work. The lower column bushing or bearing appears to have expired and the steering box has a bunch of play where the shaft sticks out on the bottom. Apparently another bushing or bearing.
My questions are:
1) Has anybody repaired either of these themselves?
2)Are special tools required?
3) Has anybody ever tried a 1/2 ton box? (They are a quicker ratio. )
