My 93 has a terrible leak on the input shaft of the steering gear box, maybe others as well, it is hard to tell with oil every where. My question is it worth trying to reseal it with 255,000 miles on it or would it be more cost effective to just replace the whole box at this time. It also needs a Borgeson replacement shaft but one thing at a time because of $$.

Thanks in advance, C Cooper.

Yes. Reseal it. I have part number of the kit somewheres and there are directions on this site and others as to how to do it. It's easy but will take the better part of your saturday to do it all Borgeson included.

Get some Valvoline Syn Power fluid as you'll loose that black stuff in there now.
