Steering Wheel Cruise Buttons

The CANCEL Button on my steering wheel is sticking and getting very hard to push in. Is there a way to remove the bottons in the wheel and clean them. I am sure that with 167K on it there is some gunk in there. TIA, Scott

Disconnect the batteries, and wait 30 minutes.



On the back of the steering wheel, you will find two bolts that hold the airbag in palce. Remove these and carefully pull the airbag forward and to the side (do not disconnect it).



You should see the screws holding each switch in at that point. I believe they cost around $15 from the dealer if you can't get them free'd up. I would use soap/water with a tooth brush (going light on the water)...
