Yeah I switched everything to stainless Bolts, washers, and i went with stainless nylon lock nuts. Once installed and the final torque down i bought a can bedliner spray in an aresol can and sprayed the heads of the bolts to blend in and not stand out so much.
Now that i have used the steps a few times in and out of the truck they are ALOT more sturdy now than being held on by the pinch weld. Glad I fabed before having sprayed with liner.
