Sticky Pedal

Had some issues today with a sticky pedal (2012). After letting off and depressing the clutch the RPM's continued to climb.
Pedal was sticking. Is this a common problem? I removed it to lubricate, it's better, no run on with the RPM, but I still feel it binding.

It is! But it is the mechanical part of the pedal that is sticking

The pedal does not move freely, it is binding at the first part of the travel or movement

Don't mess with it, just replace it.

Can I order from someplace other than the dealer? Not particularly happy with their service. Will the new accelerator need to be synced in some manner with the computer or is it a straight swap?

Just swap it out. Not sure if anyone else carries it. Did you look at Geno's?
