Now this takes some guts...........

Dark Knight (no spoilers yet - read with caution)

My mother side of the family is eastern european (50% Slovak 12. 5% Ukrainian, 12. 5% Polish), so we eat pierogies. Basically a ravioli, particularily the potato or cheese ones. To cook them either boil or fry, but better fried with butter and maybe some onions.

Thats fine... ..... But I can fry or boil ravioli's and eat them with butter or with fried onions. They taste identical... .....

I haven't tried a pierogie with tomato sauce yet. Somehow I am sure anyone with Italian blood in them is feeling queasy about now... ...

yummy, ravioli's fried with butter and onion... ... ... ... Oo.

Korean Tex-Mex
:-laf

Kimchee is a Korean food staple. Although there are a variety of types, the most common is fermented Chinese cabbage (think Korean sour kraut), with various mixes of ginger, green onions, doragee(?), garlic(lots), hot peppers, spices, and squid or fish parts. The longer it sits the more potent it gets. Note: NO MSG

You either love it or hate it and it either loves you or hates you, digestively speaking:D

Before I got married I use to tell folks I would have to give up three things: Black licorice, peanut butter, and Kimchee. But since I married a Korean I didn't have to give up Kimchee and I can always blame, shall we say, breaking wind, on the kimchee - life is good. But I suppose this is more than you really wanted to know.

French Fried Cauliflower dipped in a mixture of horseradish, mustard and paprika.

French Fries and ANY chocolate shake.

Half pears with mayo and shredded extra sharp cheddar.

Popcorn, apples, and cheese with a coke.

Ramen noodles boiled, drained, then 1/2 pack of the flavoring with soy sauce as a side to most any meal.

Frito's, chili, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes (Petro's ROCK).

Atomic fireball and a beer.

Crepes with a mixture of fruit, cottage cheese, and dill.

Creamed eggs on toast.

Just a few of my faves.

Growing up, a friend of mine we camped with put a box of Cheerios in a large bowl and then dumped hot butter on 'em. (easy camping popcorn)

I like to put raspberry (or other flavor) jam on a turkey sandwich. I also load my toast and butter with lots of ground pepper. (black, red, white, etc. )

Crackers with peanut buter and horseradish on them.

Yes... that's exactly what I though until I tried it.

White pizza with garlic, clams, scallops and bacon.

Grilled garlic cloves on a skewer.

nope..... I very much like butter on my raviolis. However, there some really interesting combos here... .

Since we are on the subject of interesting food combos. Anybody here see "SUPERSIZE ME" the movie?

My son who is 15 just yesterday ate a burger with chocolate sauce on it. I thought it sounded disgusting but daughter who is 27 tasted it and said it actually was pretty good. I doubt that I personally will ever try it to find out.

I eat a lot of Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I probably have a dozen or more per week! (and I am over 40). as a kid I ate 28 per week.

here is the combinations I still like and eat at least 1 of the below per week.

PB&J on toast (breakfast), but I switched to dry Cheerios the last couple months.

PB&J and Herrs BBQ potato chips (yes, the chips have to be on the sandwich) I eat more of them this way then just plain PB&J

PB&J and American cheese. I eat less of these the last year or so, trying to cut down on the cholesterol (cheese).

PB&J and Dill pickle. I would eat more of these, but the wife and daughter eat the pickles faster then we can buy them.

Now here is one I used to eat, but I can't handle anymore.

PB&J and Horseradish. Not the smooth sauce, the real thing!

Ones I never liked. PB and banana or PB and marshmallow (my Daughter and wife love both these combinations)

I also like PB on chicken. In fact I have been known to put PB on anything somebody normal would put butter on, except corn on the cob. Thats got to be butter!

I forgot one so I came back and edited it.

Grilled Cheese sandwiches with fried onions. Never would have tried it but I was helping some friends build a pole building up in Crossfork pa, we were hungry and that's what she made, man was it good.
